Bit weird fighting Germans with Germans, hopefully it's not too confusing in the close ups! The 44b Grenadiers were right in line with expectations, slotting in pretty much just behind the Americans, though with some key differences.

Any they would probably have done better if I hadn't kept feeding a single enemy MG team, but hey ho. Guess I might not be getting better at this scenario as time goes on...

There are couple of additions on the data front too. For one, I started counting the ammunition instead of relying on CM's scenario parameters. It's a bit time consuming, but ultimately not that bad. Second, I thought it'd be interesting to graph up how a single rifle squad outputs fire. Obviously the Germans are very dependent on their squad level MGs and, well, they've got to reload sometime. So we've got that going too. It'll be interesting to see where everyone else fits on that graph...

Especially seen as the CM points value of the remaining 3 companies drops off a cliff...

That reminds me actually, I should really mark up a map labelling all the buildings and locations so everyone has a common frame of reference for this...

Finally, the update

Can you also put a soviet submachinegun company through this test as it would be a nice benchmark to see how massed SMG fire compares to the other companies?

We're going to get a taste from the Soviet rifle Coy (they have an SMG platoon)- we'll see if its worth following up with the SMG Coy

According to someone I know German squad doctrine always emphasize on short rapid bursts followed by maneuver, and actually that’s why the MG42s have such a high fire rate. Also I’d actually argue that German squads carry more firepower per men because of the belt fed, at least the ammo count would suggest this (could also be due to area fire order). And then there’s the Commonwealth squads, I wonder
