This Week and Poll 104 (Patreon)

Well, we have the end of the Metal-on-Metal turns over here... it finishes for the public this coming Friday, meaning that next week the polls are back!

I can't remember what we were doing, so I'll just open the floor and we'll see what people want to go in.

Meanwhile, this week we've got a breather episode on our hands. Part of me wants to do a proper AAR to give the non-turn-by-turn crowd something to chew on (and boy do they need it after almost two months), realistically it's going to be a good move to cover the new SF2 Battle Pack... but I don't think I can really play through scenarios where I know exactly how things are going to go down.

Some kind of designers notes are on the cards, though I'm not 100% sure what to put in the background. I'll work it out.

Beyond that we have the Metal-on-Metal Q&A Roundup. Don't forget to leave some any questions on last week's post for that if you haven't already.

Then who knows? It's probably time for something more modern, maybe worth setting up the Platoon Patrol Challenge I was speculating as a spin-off of the Company Challenge series... we'll see.

Finally, last week's "Name this Battle" was indeed Operation Ironclad, the British invasion of Madagascar during WW2. Really interesting little scrap, an early Allied amphibious operation to try and deny Madagascar as a base for Japanese submarines by- of course- fighting the French.

'Name that Battle' might be something interesting to take forward... we'll see about that as well. Modern tools can make it a bit easier to figure out that it used to be :P
