Straight back in with some WW2 Artillery Effects! I think some 81mm mortars would be a good shout: they're very common, so the data should be useful.

The main effort for this week is the Metal on Metal round-up Q&A with Limbo, so don't hesitate to ask any further questions!

Obviously we'll have to coordinate this: depending on when we have a call and how long it takes me to edit things afterwards, the video might get pushed past the usual Friday release. We'll see.

Beyond that... I think it's important to get a 'proper' AAR in. Obviously this year's Turn-by-Turn has taken a little longer than usual (basically to keep me free for any last minute work on the SF2 Battlepack): I know it's not only everyone's cup of tea, but it's also pretty relentless and there's always a bit of an audience drop off.

Not sure what to do yet, but something quick and dynamic would be fun.

That brings us round to next week's poll. WW2 won this time, so we're looking at Moderns with everything on table.

I was surprised to see the Shermans (Jumbo and others) do so well both offensively and defensively. Was that modeled realistically?

Ditto here.

What death trap?

I can't remember if I missed this one and it got into the Q&A! TLDR: I believe the Shermans themselves were modelled realistically- they were significantly uparmoured and the 76mm gun is a very good gun- but I don't think the distribution is accurate. I wouldn't expect to find whole companies of uparmoured Sherman 76s even at the end of the war.

Thanks for your comments on this one. My impression was that the US 76mm still had issues with frontal armor on the Mark V and VI targets, but it seems they were better than that. I do like the CM modeling of the shot accuracy, especially those "first shot" misses that can be so frustrating.
