Everyone's being waiting for this one... I think it's non-spoilery to say that it's a very interesting run!

Usefully, the Uncon transport pickups were entirely stationary after a point, which gave me a static, cross-turn anchor point for the camera and let me piece together the turns relatively seamlessly. It's not only always fun to see a replay like that, but it was a pretty short engagement and I was worried I would struggle to find enough footage for the post-battle discussion.

In other news, some of you may have noticed the lack of a short this week... I made it on Monday morning, then forgot to upload it and deleted it on Tuesday when I was making room for this video. Because I'm a genius. Luckily, the Movie Maker file is still there. It's missing all the actual footage, but the framework of text etc is there so it should be relatively quick to redo.

Actually how should squads be organized is always a point of contention. There's a whole rabbit hole with William S Lind and a certain Poole who wrote a ton of books on how he thinks "super squads" will win the next 4th generation war

Kinda scary that some solid uncon can overwhelm a Marine team. On the matter of points scoring, I would consider uncoms to be far more tolerant of losses.

That's a good point actually! Though maybe regular no mods Uncons would be less expendable than the usual crowd?

This outcome IRL would be considered a massive victory by any insurgent army, own casualties notwithstanding.

I would have liked to have seen an on map mortar as part of the uncon 'TOE.' The other thing is uncons should have really good intel, so planning should be based on a fair amount of certainty wrt US troop positions and whatnot. Gathering intel as a civilian amongst a general population is a guerrilla perk. I agree with Zaleski in that the final result is pretty scary.

Now this was a suprising outcome, not least on the speed of the firefight.
