And they are... actually kinda interesting. 'NATO Technical Swarm' is a pretty good description, but they come with some extra complexities.

I have put them through the Platoon Patrol and finished the script... just need to check it, record it, cut it and then get the footage. That's probably not going to all happen today though, so expect it tomorrow at the earliest.

But it's worth it, they have a fun time!

Gets my vote for Most Interesting NATO Infantry in CMSF2.

Definitely up there! Not sure I could stand a whole campaign with them though.

The jeep with a lot of guns approach was made most famous by British LRDG during North African campaign. However Mike Hoare also mentioned the use of such vehicles in Congo during the Congo War by Belgian forces and allied mercenaries. The general idea is basically to drive in and fire and hope the enemy would be too suppressed and shocked to mount effective defense. Against groups like Congolese SImba early on it could work. (a lot of mercenary work at first consists of small dismounted patrols and convoy based combats)

I’m guessing that the IRL solution would be to split one fire team and have two men in each vehicle while the other fire team goes on foot. That’s just a guess, but unfortunately CM doesn’t give you that option.

Agreed. I think they would be pretty good at finding the enemy, but someone else would have to do the fixing and the killing.

The Dutch campaign is a lot tougher than either of the American ones. I would love to see it on your channel.
