Loads of fun with these. They're ugly, they're ungainly, but who can fail to be excited by amphibious operations?

Trying to fit 13 man squads and 52 man platoons in vehicles with 21 seats messes with my mind more than it should, but that might be just me.

I’ve always been irrationally fond of these big boy AAVs. Maybe it’s because they remind me of Sand Crawlers.

You know, I never thought about that but they do! I wonder if they're left over from when Tatooine had seas?

I was a crewman on these vehicles in the Marine Corps. Later on I was a Bradley IFV Master Gunner The LAAV7 is a few steps up from its original predecessor. But still expected to perform the same "last war" missions in a modern conflict. Why? Because nothing has come along that is a viable and cost effective solution for that type of mission. The vehicle performs adequately when used in its intended role, ship to shore assault, ship to shore resupply. However it's a disaster when you play Mechanized Infantry with a vehicle that was never designed for that role.

Well the original inhabitants of Tattooine angered the wrong overlords and got their "just Deserts"

Yes! Having tried in the past to try and fit Marine squads in LAVs... yeah.
