Or, slightly more accurately, why do we go hull down? As seen through the lens of the persistent (and pernicious) "hull-up armour" myth.

I've managed to avoid outright calling this myth a Wehrabooism... but it does entirely revolve around German tanks avoiding hull down so they get shot on the front slope and not the turret.

Annoyingly, they're not 100% wrong. When I was doing the testing, more Panthers got taken out when they were hull down than when they were hull up... in the end, that actually helped write the script because it let me focus on all the other reasons that being hull up is just a terrible idea if you can avoid it.
