In a shocking development from the usual armoured box on wheels, this time we're looking at an armoured box on wheels with a V-shaped hull!

More seriously, there isn't that much to say here: the Nyala is a truck. The weapon options are interesting in the sense that I don't think there's a clear advantage to going .50 cal or 7.62 RWS... but this gets torpedoed because it's the passengers that control it and you essentially lose the weapon when the dismount.

Be interesting to see how they do in the Platoon Patrol though... weirdly enough the dismounts are actually a bit less capable than their Mechanised equivalents...

Since it is a combat-useless battle taxi, one could dismount the driver to become a dedicated scout. Not exactly doctrinal, I’m sure.

Itchy Scoop

Does the v shaped hull offer any benefit vs mines in game?

It would be nice to be able to make the driver take over the gunner's position at least

I didn't actually test that. Probably should have done, but at the same time, it's not the Nyala is supposed to survive the process. Obviously it's good for the passengers, but if they're now stuck in a minefield they've got problems.

Itchy Scoop

I might have to do some tests myself

My move has been taking the G wagon drivers and platoon XO team and using them as the 3 gunners since they're pretty useless otherwise.

Yes, that should be a feature. It is strange that grabbing a rifle to be an infantry grunt is OK, but operating the gun of one’s own vehicle is not OK. Must be some kind of weird union work rule.
