Of course, after making this video and the accompanying unit guide the poll drifts off 50-50... luckily it went the right way by a couple of percent!

Unlike the Warrior platoon, there aren't really any surprises here. Well, maybe one. But the Brits in Bulldogs slot into the scoreboard in a pretty expected way.

I am interested in your assessment of the small mortars? By my count two groups had them and they were both useless. The extra ammunition in this run was much better than the other one but they still did nothing. Were they too far away this time as well? Is there range prohibited to using them. I.e you need to get so close to use them well that almost anything would be better.

I remember British mortars are supposed to be for putting down smoke mostly (proficiency with utilizing smokescreens is probably one of the more important abilities of a commander I'd wager)

Light mortars like this are primarily for smoke, but also illumination (which obviously we don't get in CM). You don't really need accuracy for them, so you can get away with short barrels and light rounds that are more effected by wind etc than, say, the bigger chonkier 60mm light mortar ammo the Americans used in WW2> So TLDR: light mortars are a good capability to have, but they're really optimised for tasks other than point target engagement, which is what I keep using them for. That said, the Platoon HQ did take out 2 Marines, which I guess were the survivors from the first fire team in the ditch, so... not 100% useless
