In which more of your pixel adoptees perish at the hands of my incompetence!

I haven't made any shorts for a while and I'm 50-50 on whether to carry on with the polls, or to release a quick short for the death of each named Pixeltruppen, matching the releases with the turn I get them killed. It's tempting because it's (relatively) easy and effectively promotes the series, but there's not really any rythmn to it.

There's also the question of what to do with the (considerably more) deaths in the other half of the story, where Holoween attacks me and does a much better job. That's shaping up to be a 40 minutes video all on it's own and I definitely don't want to spoilerise that too much.

In other news, Steve, the owner of BFC, has released Part 1 of 2024's 'what to expect this year' post. You can read it here (https://community.battlefront.com/topic/143260-the-year-to-come-2024-part-1), but the TLDR:

Final Blitzkrieg is very close to release on Steam, as well as it's first module that takes things to the end of the war in Europe. The Brits and Commonwealth forces make it in (all hail the mighty Wasp!) as do the later war German units (Volksturm etc) and some brand new kit. Most notably, the M26 Pershing and the British Comet. Can't wait to try them out!

Also in the pipeline is the Utah Beach Battlepack for CMBN. This is scenario and campaign focused, but looks like it includes master maps for Utah itself, Carentan and St Come du Mont.

There's a few other bits, most notably the promise of more bones for CMCW's British Army of the Rhine module and... the fact that this is only Part 1 of this year's update. There's loads of stuff in there, so it's going to be very interesting to see what might crop up in Part 2...

Really looking forward to all of the new CM content on the way from Battlefront. It will be interesting to see how much actually gets released with last year having been so slow. Hopefully we will get a bit more than usual this year because of all the stuff that has been in the pipeline for a while.

Nice hit on that 45mm with the mortar, I assume that gun being knocked out makes the tank push a lot less complicated. How many of holloweens points are tied up in his two T34s and 45mms? Curious as im new to CM and wonder how much infantry he’ll be working with for the rest of his defence

UsuallyHaplessVideos

A very rough check: 2 45mms and the two T34s take up about half of Holoween's points. That might sound like a lot, but Soviet infantry is pretty cheap. There's still space left over for an infantry company and a few extras.

Rejoyce281

So it’s safe to assume he has a similar amount of infantry to you?

Really bummed out about the VDV/Marine module being scrapped. I got CMBS in anticipation of that module. Feel like I wasted my money haha.

I wonder how many ppsh squads you'll be facing in those houses. Doesn't sound like fun for the squads pushing in close...

UsuallyHaplessVideos

It's a concern. Holoween could potentially have more infantry than me if he took the conscript route. They might be crap, but 'hold this building' isn't exactly a high bar

UsuallyHaplessVideos

Well, it looks like the assets exist so it's not 100% impossible they'll never see the light of day

Jimmychanga

yeah. I just hope that they do some hypothetical conflict that doesn't become an actual one. Like some 2025 liberation of Kaliningrad stuff or something like that. Not some CM: Taiwan Strait or something like that.
