Hi Everyone!

I've had quite a few requests for a Sloth lately, and though it would be a lot of fun! This is a fully print-in-place design, and it includes a display Tree! It's a lot of fun to fidget with and explore different ways to pose them on the branches. The Tree includes two separate options... a "Taller" version for most printers (which has a longer trunk to provide a little bit more hanging space), and a "Shorter" one designed to fit on smaller print beds without needing to scale it down (like on the A1-Mini).

Check out a quick Demo Video Here!

I hope you like them!

Cheers!Matt

Pictured Prints use the following filaments***(reference the numbered prints in last image of the gallery)1) Sloth: Overture Brown, iSANMATE HS Coffee, Overture Chocolate,  Cotton White2) Sloth: Ziro Matcha, Ziro Wood Grain, Amolen Rainbow Rock, Cotton White     Tree: Ziro Matcha, Ziro Wood Grain3) Sloth: iSANMATE Rainbow Upgrade     Tree: iSANMATE Rainbow Upgrade, Ziro Beach4) Sloth: Ziro Dreamy Dusk     Tree: Polymaker Grey/Orange dual extrusion3D PRINTING SETTINGS:

SLOTH:

Sloth: Print-In-Place. No support needed.

Multicolor 3MF! (Compatible with PrusaSlicer and Bambu Studio)

10%-15% Infill.

3 Walls

This should generally scale down to about 60%-65% with full articulation, on a well calibrated printer. Your mileage may vary.

TREE:

Tree_Taller: Print-In-Place. No support needed. Brims may be helpful if you have adhesion issues (0.3mm brim gap recommended)

Tree_Shorter: Same branches, but a shortened trunk to fit on smaller print beds

Multicolor 3MFs: for each Tree size (Compatible with PrusaSlicer and Bambu Studio)

15% Infill.

3 Walls

The tree model can become more fragile when scaling down, so try to maximize the scale where possible. As a rough scaling guide, a Sloth scaled down to about 80% will still be able to grasp a 100% Tree.

This is so cute! I hope there’s a mini version someday soon!

David Agius

Ohhhh my goodness 😍😍 hopefully mummy and daddy sloth will make mini sloths hehe

Lanna

Absolutely love this!

Verito Su

Es tan lindo 😍. Amo los perezosos!!!

Oseriduun

I'm currently hiding this from my mother in law so I can finish printing other creatures. But this guy is amazing and I'm also on the mmmini bandwagon 🥰😍

ARTICUL8

Love the stand inclusion - beautiful details.. ty Matt

Taylor

Would be possible to print the head separately and attach it after? It would save on some filament...

Greyson Harness

This is amazing! I've really been loving your designs lately, they're all so different and fun!

D3D Prints

I agree with this, I commonly print multiple bodies on one plate and heads on another.

Brookein3D

Can you do a mini version!! We love him!

R2PN Sheri

This is amazing!! 😍 I joined just to get access to the amazing roaring tiger & figured I would just cancel after the month was up but I think I will have to stick around. I don’t want to miss any of your designs & hopefully a GIRAFFE is in your future plans! You can really see your animator background in all of your designs! 👏🫶👌🥰

Mike

Love this so much! A little late because I had a nasty partial clog to deal with, it happens.

James Rhodes

I am fairly new to 3d printing and I am wondering if we really have to color each little area to do a multi color? I thought I could just click on each section I wanted a different color color but it’s separating a lot

matmire_makes

You should be need to use the paint tools at all on a prepainted 3MF file. You just assign the colors to your AMS and/or swap the colors in the filament selection area. ..

Dave Simpkin

Any one having issues printing the tree I'm on my 3rd failure atm keeps failing on top branch

Sandra Authier

Printed him at 140% with a .6 nozzle and I think this is my favorite item I’ve ever printed

April Laforest

Love this! We need a mini Keychain version!

SneakySmurf

Same here. I printed 4 at 85% with PolyTerra Army Brown. It knocked over 2 of the branches. Did a skip and then it did the same with a 3rd. They start wobbling too much I think. Polymaker -is- more flexible but I am a little worried to try it again.

Dave Simpkin

Yes same here I'm on my 4th now every time either brakes on the branch or makes it loose adhesion even with extra brim

matmire_makes

There is a new version of the Tree that will print much easier. See my latest post for more info.

Emily Golding

Printed this already and love it! Thank you! I printed it one color and painted him (I’m no artist, it’s just a fun hobby) and he’s adorable! Thank you for all your designs they are always a favorite in our house!

GATO

It is so cute; I love your designs thank you

Sam Graham Squiz 3D

He is adorable, I'm desperate for you to make a wombat to go with the platypus though 😁

Courtney Felt

I'm obsessed with this updated tree. I printed 5 of them with not a single clog or stop or issue. I can't remember the last time my printer hasn't given me a single issue on a print so many times in a row lol

Jassen Ferris

where can I purchase this file? trying to find it on 3D cults but no luck

matmire_makes

It’s in all of my public stl shops. Here’s the cults3d link…

Abel Vallejo

Is he still available or did I miss it ?

matmire_makes

It’s no longer active on Patreon, but it is in your March and April archive that was sent to you via MyMiniFactory share invite. I just resent the April share to you. Check your private messages here for more details on that. I send them out at the end of every month.

Robert Hobbs

Hi, I have looked on myminifactroy to get the updated tree and it is not there in March or April. I can see a Tortoise in March. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

matmire_makes

Hmm, the Sloth should be in there for both of those months. I removed and re-added it to those shares, so hopefully that forces it to update and show up.

Robert Hobbs

Thank you for responding so quickly! I have refreshed the page, logged out and logged back in and a search in the library for "sloth" still shows nothing unfortunately and a search for "tree" finds a few frogs. I have double checked the email sent at the time and tried to redeem again but it says "The object(s) have already been redeemed" Any suggestions please?

matmire_makes

Weird. I'll have to message the MMF guys about that. In the meantime, I just sent you a new share of just the sloth file.

Angie Upole

I have him on my printer right now.

Andra Johnson

I just did the Snapmaker U1 software update and I see this sloth is now part of their catalog of pre-loaded prints. So Cool!!!
