Hi All!This is one I've been thinking about for a long time, the MMMini Frog!!I'm including 3 different multicolor patterns, which add tons of variety to the possible color and style variations you can come up with! There's Basic Frog pattern (with both vertical and horizontal pupil options), a Tree Frog pattern, and a Poison Dart Frog pattern! I can't wait to see what kinds of fun color combos you all come up with. Also, a reminder that you can use the slicer's paint Fill tool too easily create alternative color combinations/variants. I used this method to change up a few of my Poison Dart Frog samples by combining the leg pattern and body pattern into one color (the yellow and the agua/blue dart frogs) Check out this tutorial video to see how!Add Magnets! These have a magnet cavity inside the body so that you can add a pause command and drop one in while printing. For info on how to do that, see the PDF document in the download.

This mini is 100% print-in-place, and requires no supports.  Its a quick and easy print that scales down very well.  I've included both regular and keychain versions.

Check out a little preview video HERE.

Hope you like them!MattPictured Prints use the following filaments***(reference the numbered prints in last image of the gallery)

For the Keychain versions. I used these Key Rings and Binder Rings

MMMini Frog:  Includes regular and keychain versions. Print-in-Place. No supports needed.

Multicolor 3MF files! (For PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, and Orca based slicers)- Basic Frog- Poison Dart Frog- Tree Frog 5-Color- Tree Frog 4-Color

Magnets: These models contain cavities for placing magnets during printing.  Please see the included instructions PDF. I used these Magnets for my prints (same as the bonus Fridge Magnet files)

10% Infill (I recommend Gyroid, Crosshatch or 3D Honeycomb)

3 Walls. (Assuming 0.4mm nozzle. Adjust wall count to account for alternate nozzle sizes)

These scale down really well. It typically works down to around 50% scale. Your mileage may vary.

Dang, about time, my second most requested keychain.

Speedtorch

I absolutely LOVE these!!!

Scott

Very cool, one of my favorites for the year.

Thomas Finley-Smith

What size eyes at 100%? & the poison dart frog is my new favorite!!!!

matmire_makes

Glad you like them! The eyes are part of the print.

crookd

These are great, school kids of all ages just LOVE these minis, been selling like crazy! and yes, I am a subscriber....

Sara

Thank you, so cute, I fell in love with your work, I 'm gonna print them all. Just bought my first printer last week. Greetings from Belgium

Terry Robinson

Do you know of any issues with the x1c pulling magnets out when it’s printing as I have just checked and the print head will Attack the magnet and not sure if when trying to print over the magnet if it will pull the magnet up and out ? Or do you put a bit of glue in then the magnet?

matmire_makes

It should not. The Bambu printers have a magnetic bed which should pull the magnets down and keep them securely seated. I’ve printed a bunch of all of my magnet designs on the X1C, A1-Mini, and H2D and never had the extruder lift a magnet out.

Terry Robinson

Cheers mate for the quick response, and its impeccable timing as I had a regular asked if we had any poison dart frogs last week and I had to say we did not but now we can let them know we do (the green tree frogs are a massive hit with our customers) once again cheers

Can you use 10x3mm magnets in these and the spiders? Or do I need to order the ones you have linked?

TygerDad

I have the same question. I believe they will work, but would like the creator to confirm. The ones linked for the spider model are 10 x 2.6mm and the one linked in this model are 10 x 2.3mm. I opened one of the Bambu Labs versions of this model and sliced it and it shows a 3mm high open cylinder for the magnet. Would be really nice to just use the same exact size magnet in all of these designs.

Apryl Schescke

Yes. I have a bunch of the 10x3 so was hoping they works work so I didn't have to order all different sizes for different models.

Smikey

So funny I was just saying to my wife it would be soo cool to get the frog as the mini, woke up this morning and boom, great work Matt they look phenomenal

TygerDad

These are outstanding. Look forward to printing all of them!

matmire_makes

Yes the cavity height is about 3.25mm, so 3mm should fit. I would suggest measuring the magnet with calipers to confirm the actual size. A lot of these magnets advertise themselves based on rounded numbers. Like sometimes what they say is a 10x3 is actually 10x2.6 when measured.

Apryl Schescke

OK! Thank you so much. I can't wait to put them all on my fridge 😁

MrSpinner Inc

These are amazing! Now the hard part... deciding what type of frog(s) and whoch colors to do first.

GATO

can you use the same magnets from the spider?

Verito Su

Hola! Yo utilicé imanes de 10 x3 en las arañas y funcionaron perfecto. Saludos desde Uruguay.

Julie Pehotsky

These are so cute! I want to print so many variations!! However if I adjust the size then the magnet holes become problematic.... Are you able to release them without the magnet hole additions so I can insert my own magnet size with the adjustments in resizing

Julie Pehotsky

i thought i'd save a few dollars and get 10x2 rather than 10x2.3 magnets.... i don't know if that's the major difference, but the frogs at 100% are extremely heavy and immediately fell off the fridge, crashed on the floor and it's leg popped off. I wish it wasn't so dense so the magnets would work but at the same time i wish it was more dense for durability... If there was a solid version included (with no magnet holes) i could easily scale it down a little and try out a smaller magnet size to see if that works

Julie Pehotsky

Thanks for explaining that I just assumed a larger magnet was more powerful.... (I didn't understand!) Now I know what to look for 😁

Louise Kent

is there a version without the magnet hole? Its very weak in that area if you dont want to add a magnet

Sid ?

What size magnets do I need to purchase ?

matmire_makes

10x3mm. There is a link in the post above and also in the download’s included PDF guide

Sean Hollick

Please excuse my newbie question but with such beautifully colored frogs, isn’t that gonna be a lot of waste poop and a long time to print? Just curious thank you

MamaBear

Is there a way to get them without the Magnets hole. When I take them off the plate it's leaving a hole underneath
