Body: Print in place

Heads (Regular and Unicorn): Snap-fit to Neck using Connector Head. There is a small custom brim around the head to help with adhesion. Remove and discard it after printing

Unicorn Horn: Insert into Unicorn Head. I recommend gluing it in to secure it. Print separately in a different color, if desired.

Neck: Snap-fit to Body using Connector Neck. There is a small custom brim around the neck to help with adhesion. Remove and discard it after printing

Tail: Snap-fit to Body

Legs Front and Rear Lf & Rt: Snap-fit to Body using Connector Legs

Connector Head (x1): Use to connect the heads to the neck.

Connector Neck (x1): Use to connect the neck to the body.

Connector Legs (x4): Use to connect the Legs and Arms to the body.

“AllParts” STLs: All parts pre-arranged in one file.

Multicolor 3MFs: (Compatible with PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Orca based slicers)

Tool_ConnectorHelper: Simple tool to aid in inserting connector pins (see video)

No supports

10%-15% Infill (I recommend Gyroid, Crosshatch or 3D Honeycomb)

3 Walls. (Assuming 0.4mm nozzle. Adjust wall count to account for alternate nozzle sizes)

This should generally scale down to about 65% with full articulation, on a well calibrated printer.  Your mileage may vary.

Kristy Roberts

No way! Absolutely amazing. Thank you. My daughter is going to love them!

Joanna Van Engel

Mat, these are incredible! Would you consider making a version with feathered hooves so we can create horse breeds like Clydesdales or Friesians?

Oserna3D

Printing now :)

Linda Herbst

Love this! Just wish the mane could be printed separately so I could have a white unicorn with rainbow filament for the mane and tail. I have a single color printer. Still excited to print this for our great-nieces!

Brickoadsoffun

These are great. Hope you come out with a pegasus version soon

matthew saiani

Omg! This is incredible! Thank you!!! 😊🙏

Aaron Shirk

Thank you! I have had a lot of customer requests for a horse

DEBORAH HOWARD

Love these! Can you please consider doing mini dog breeds.? Like golden lab, boxer and other popular breeds?

Giamarie Saponaro

I dont know why or what I did but, my unicorn has a lot of ugly spots. the middle section of his mane and the part on the back of his head, one side of his belly and the front bottom of his chest and under his cheek on one side. He is so beautiful though. Wish my print was perfect to match...

Mike

Please make a mini flapjack octopus. I have loved that one ever since you released it and would absolutely love to see a mini version because I love your minis too (especially the new hedgehog) 🦔 🐙

GATO

YES I would love something like a mini yorkie or french poodle

Tasheena

How do we connect our Patreon to minifactorg for the downloads?

matmire_makes

There isn't really a linked connection. I manually send out shared access invites to the current files on the last day of each month. I will be sending out the December invites tonight. You should receive the invite at the same email address that you use on Patreon. Once redeemed, the files will be added to your MMF library in the "Shared with Me" section.

matmire_makes

Before that, you can download the current files from the Hub post, linked in the above post.

Om Krim Kali

Happy New Year what do you recommend for smallest size?

Crissy

need wings please.

GATO

Hey Mat, Happy New Year! Could you do a Horse with braids in the tail and in the head. Thank you sooooo much

GATO

Jerri

Any chance you have a realistic bullfrog design?

Emelie

Try to adjust the seam settings

Nicole Perkins

I cant post a photo here, but the front legs are close together. And the tail. Can you make it longer and maybe more fluffy?

matmire_makes

The front leg joints have a fair bit of rotational range of motion, like a shoulder. You should be able to easily spread the feet wider. Make sure you haven't put the back legs into the front leg sockets, as those would not have as much range of motion. If you want to send me pics, you can send them to help@matmiremakes.com

Leanna

I do wish there was articulation in the front knees for posing, but love the look of the model. It's the first model of yours I've printed.

Michelle

I love this model! I'm getting weird banding, though, on the body. I'm using the H2D with Ice Blue for the body on the left (single color) and all the other filament colors on the right. They're in the same locations whether the model is at 100% or printed smaller. Any thoughts?

matmire_makes

It's hard to know for sure without seeing pics (you can email me pictures at help@matmiremakes.com). Do the bands look like coloring defects or other print defects. If it's color banding, my guess would be that you might have flush to infill turned on (since the body color is in the left nozzle, it's likely not a purge volume issue). Flush to infill is generally not worth it, in my opinion. It only saves a tiny bit of filament, but greatly increases the chances of seeing those infill colors through the walls. If your filament has any translucency at all (most do), the infill coloring might show through. Hope that helps!

LuLAB

Is there any chance this will get an update? The legs deserve more articulation. I really enjoyed adding this to the animal farm.

Tina Cline

I agree with the articulation in the legs. The ability to pose in rearing or bucking or even a trot or stomp pose would be awesome. Tail being able to raise like a flag as the Arabian breed does would be sweet too. It would be great. But overall, the details are beautiful.

matmire_makes

I experimented with articulated joints in the knees and elbows during prototyping and it was problematic. The joints require those features to be unnaturally large, so it looked very knobby-kneed. More importantly, it was not fun to pose and made it much more difficult to achieve appealing poses while still be balanced enough to stand. It became very clumsy to fidget with. The print became much more enjoyable to use and looked much more visually pleasing once those extra joints were removed.

@MatMireMakes, would it be hard to add wings to this print to make a pegesis as well? Or a pegacorn even lol?
