***THIS FILE IS NO LONGER INCLUDED FREE WITH SUBSCRIPTION.It can be purchased once re-released according to this Schedule.Hey Y'all! This month I thought I'd make a pair of fun sized Young and Baby Rattlesnakes to keep the Little Pythons company.  If you are looking for faster printing snakes that use less filament to make, these are fun alternatives to the full sized rattlesnake.  The rattle and jaw still work on these more compact versions, so they still have that bit of extra fidget factor.  I hope you like them!Includes multiple layouts and rattle combinations, just like the full sized model.  Print it with the rattle pre-attached, or print it separately in a different color for some extra variety!  Sorry it's a lot of files, but I wanted everyone to be able to choose the combination that works best for them. *Note: These models feature an update to the rattles.  I have added small contacts on the sides of each bead in order to anchor them and help them stay in place while printing.  This does mean that you will need to push the beads into the rattle manually.  Any pointed tool will do the trick!  I plan to do the same update to the full sized Rattlesnake, so I would love your feedback it!Cheers!MattYoung Rattlesnake printed in...iSANMATE PLA+ with Cookiecad Sunrise accents***Baby Rattlesnake Printed in...Cookiecad Sunrise with Cookiecad Unicorn accents***

These are so freaking cute 😍

Ilya Babuzhev

Awesome! Need a little rattlesnake keychain!😉

matmire_makes

I plan to do one, but it'll take some extra time since I need to basically do a non-articulating version of the head for it.

Shayla Anthony

Just when I said I wasn't ordering any more special filament.... Thanks, lol.

matmire_makes

hahaha, well... it appears that the iSanmate is currently out of stock, so you're safe from that one at least. haha.

robert banks

Are these the same models that were in the July 22 post?

matmire_makes

If you mean the pinned "Current Download Links" post, than yes. That post is where all the current file links are, and it is constantly updated. None of the announcement posts contain download links because those posts are viewable to the public.

Tara Jauregui

Filament color of the coiled up one in your hand?

matmire_makes

That's the isanmate pla+ rainbow. I linked it in the post, but it appears to be out of stock.

Shelly Harvey

I love these! I don’t understand how you got the tongue and fangs to match the tails though … paint?

Terri Trotter

Tried painting the tongue and found the painting to be more difficult than the eye. Any insight to the tool you used as fill ins't cutting for this part.

Tara Jauregui

Ahh okay looks a little different than others

matmire_makes

Oh, I used the circle paint tool to draw a border at the very back of the tongue, then the fill tool to do the rest. Then I just had to touch up two spots on the tips of the fork. That made it pretty easy.

matmire_makes

Oh yeah, I took that picture in a different area, so the lighting behaved a bit differently.

TheArtifactWorkshop

All of us that have joined the Bambu cult would love it if you posted your pre-painted files along with the normal STLs. Nice thing about the new file format is that it keeps your print settings too!

Dawn Jones

There seems to be a pattern of you posting gorgeous prints and soon after the filament going out of stock. :)

Jason Mooney

The updated rattles are awesome. Easy to push in

Jayden Riesner

how long are the young rattlesnakes?

Pablo Ortega

I am having trouble connecting the head on the large rattlesnake. Anyone have any tips? It's almost like the pin isn't long enough.

matmire_makes

What you're describing sounds like you are trying to attach the head to the "body_Rear" part, and not "Body_Front". The Body consists of two main parts, plus optional extensions that fit in between. This video shows the assembly... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F43Vr5wi4A

Pablo Ortega

Fantanstic! I was just wondering if I was missing something and just didn't realize it! Thank you!
