Hey Everyone!Introducing my new Winter Ferret exclusive variant!  Bundle up for the Holidays with this fun fella.

Includes multicolor 3MF file that is compatible with both PrusaSlicer and Bambu Studio!  Chose a traditional Christmas color theme, or get creative with whatever chilly season coloring you can dream up!Please watch This Video for a demonstration of the Ferret model and the proper way to string up the rubber band.  It's super-easy to fit, but you do have to twist it between each link so that the tension is evenly distributed.  This is key to posing stability.  One rubber band should work in most cases, but you could use two if you want a less tension.  If using two, just overlap the rubber bands on one of the central links.  It uses the same size #12 rubber bands as the bat models, like These Rubber Bands***  Cheers!Matt

3D PRINTING SETTINGSA few of the parts have small connective "anchors" on the first layer to help with bed adhesion.  You will need to trim them away before adding the rubber bands.

Head: Snap-Fit to Body.  Pre-Supported for easy printing.  No additional support needed.

BodyFront: Print-In-Place. Snap-Fit to BodyRear or Extensions.

BodyRear: Print-In-Place. Snap-Fit to BodyFront or Extensions.

ExtensionA & ExtensionB (optional): Make the body longer by inserting these in between BodyFront and BodyRear!  The only difference between the A and B file is the fur texture, so that you can avoid a repeated fur pattern.

Tail: Snap-Fit to BodyRear.

3MF: includes multicolor 3MF file that is compatible with both PrusaSlicer and Bambu Studio

5%-15% Infill.

3 Walls.

This should generally scale down to about 65% with full articulation, on a well calibrated printer.  YMMV

Please watch This Video for a demonstration of the model and the proper way to string up the rubber band.

Any chance we can get the Santa beardie with a 3MF version? So hard to paint that one in Bambu Studio.

moc hezké ale já vždy hodinu hledám ten správný link pro stáhnutí. proč je to tak zbytečně složité.

The downloads post is linked twice in the above post. Clicking the link will take you straight to where you can download the files. All of my announcement posts are publicly viewable so that people can see what I make before they sign up. I can’t put download links in these public posts. Also, the downloads post is always pinned to the top of my page, so you can always find it there. If you don’t want to deal with download links, you can always try MMF Tribes instead. There the files are automatically added to your MMF library. There is more info on Tribes here… https://www.patreon.com/posts/mmf-tribes-90660863

i painted one, it was rough.

Magpulx720

i hope i can push these down to 60%

Jasmine Hartin

If I want to print at 70-80% do you know if it will be posable without the rubber bands? Or will it be capable of using the same bands/process you have linked for 100% scale?

Jayden Riesner

i wish there was a way to do a snap on beard for the santa bearded dragons so it would make it so much easier instead of painting it. would that be something that could be done?

Rogue

Does this need supports to print?

matmire_makes

there is a small pre-support modeled into the head file, that will have to be removed before assembly. You can watch the video in the above post to see how that comes off.

Rogue

I thought so. I guess it's just my printer that doesn't like me not the file 🥲

Plastix Fantastix

Would love even more ferret content these are so awesome

what rubber bands work? ones i used kept breaking ty

matmire_makes

There are some linked at the bottom of the second paragraph of this post. Those should work. Those are size #12 bands, but other larger sizes should work too. I just wouldn't go smaller, as that could make it too tight.
