It's been a while since the last nudge, but it felt like there were a lot of good suggestions to go through, too. So it's that time again, to get a fresh nudge going and see what else you all might like to see in the peeks! If you've made a suggestion in a nudge before and I didn't get to it, I may have simply missed it, or I may be saving it for a chapter instead of simply a peek! Either way, feel free to repeat any past suggestions you may have had.

Also feel free to ask smaller things. It's been a while since we have a Q&A, so if there's enough simpler questions, we might get another one of those soon, too!

And thank you all again for your support. It's because of all of you that I can keep writing, and I appreciate that immensely.

Can you go into how different forms of communication work? IE the variant of the recording stone being able to transmit, the ability to send messages/reports long distances, and even just mundane mail? Some peek or another I believe mentioned how it cost a merchant several gold to send magical messages, and the troublesome trio were able to quickly communicate with their old guild about them being alive. The different logistics of the different ways to communicate long range in your world are interesting to me.

Hello!

Telar PoV! She must have seen quite a bit from coming from wherever to station at Fourdock and the changes she’s witnessed from everything. From a near stagnant economy to a near thriving start of an economic boom thanks to Thedeims influence. The difference between a murderous and belligerent to 2 cooperatives and a toybox. (I’m excluding the Southwood because of distance)

Brandon C

I would like to see a soldier’s POV and what he has had to adapt to Thediems shenanigans. Also Tupul’s backstory or parents.

13L00D13ANE

1. Have any expeditions by other more established dungeons been sent yet on a trip to Thediem? 2. What is widely considered to be the strongest and/or most established dungeon? 3. Can we please get a Titania 'queen of the forest of 4 seasons' raid boss, as well as a Fluffles 'king of the 4 seasons skies' raid boss? Maybe even a teamup S-class raid boss of Titania riding fluffles? XD 4. An aside from the previous #3, but is it possible for a dungeon to declare a certain area of their dungeon to be the 'domain' of a scion, granting that scion partial control over the area and its denizens? 5. Can we get a peek of that lady from the capital who spoke with Olander about the revelations of his delves in Thediem?

druidofthewolf

It seems reincarnation is a normal process in this world has there been reincarnation from different world come to this one since it seemed like there are other in the multiverse you have made ?

vulcan211

I'd like a peek to show what either the shield or the raven think about Thedeim and the Gravity domain/affinity or maybe the Angel of Prodigals looking in on Thedeim

jkbscopes

Dungeons and tavern crawls, let the scions go drinking! Q&A: are there any regions or kingdoms that the ODA has been rebuffed or barred from setting up in?

The-Guy-Who-Asks

Would a Curl-up (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curl-up) or a Tenjōname (https://yokai.com/tenjouname/) be gravity spirits or something else? Would you consider the name thuddyduddy for a kind of gravity fae? Would a Swamp Hag be a kind of decay fae? Would a Leprechaun be a fate fae denizen or a dweller? If Rumplestiltskin is a kind of fae, what affinity would he be? Would a Lusca be a specialization of a shark spawner or an octopus spawner? Is there a type of undead that are just heads? Cranial Undead? (Chattering skulls, shrunken heads, brains in jars, etc.) Since Yeti spawners are a thing according to the last Q&A, are Sasquatches and Skunkapes options for that spawner? Would they be life and decay affinity respectively? Are woolly mammoths currently a thing in your setting? What race is Ryndal Windstrider, the author from your peeks? Will the Dungeonless Voice join Thediem? What do they think of him? Are there any notable Communication Affinity dungeons? Do the denizen skeletons have sharp teeth? Has Slash ever played “Bad to the Bone” to bolster the skeletons in the Crypt Complex?

Mirah H

I love hearing about random people in the kingdom and how they're impacted by Thediem. Like a merchant or dyer or other craftsman

Rick Delallata

I'd like to see Olander or a new high tier party challenge the tree

Kebbitevoke -

U p d a t e d map of the world plz

Lord-Siver

I'd love to see a day from the point of view of Fiona and Lucas and maybe even a little adventure of them alone. Maybe even a little date or something? They are their own personalities and seem to be good friends at least so what are they up to when not with Rhonda and Freddie?

LynxtheMinx

I would love to see a violet and onyx day. Also, a, Miller day

Samuel

I would think the orcs from what we saw in some peaks and subtle foreshadowing in the books

Samuel

ohhh! me too! the raven please but I am fan of dark stuff so might be bias

Samuel

ohhh that is a good question hope we get a answer to it and thanks for asking that 🙂

Durphymcbob

Up vote on letting the scion go drinking

Samuel

can we PLEASE! see someone with the tamer class hinted at in book one? 😁

Durphymcbob

Would it be possible to have a peak that is from Goldielocks point of veiw going into more detail about her job and duties and how she is fitting in.

Durphymcbob

If possible could we have just a check up chapter on the various parties from slim chance and what they have been up to, maybe just them talking trading stories at the guild over drinks. The casuals asking advice and buying drinks for the terrible Trio, and the group that has the summoner who made a pack with Titina

Orion Belt

I completely agree regarding those is always fun

deefdragon

I would love for Khenal to comission maps of the world & fourdock. It may even be able to go into the books which would be cool.

Calistis

Could we see Olander and Tula going on a date? Could be an opportunity for see other stuff in Fourdock.

Calistis

Perhaps the point of view from the nomad orcs hearing rumors on the way to Southwood?

architectural engineer

i would love to see the opinions of other kingdoms ruling class on Thediem

Worros

Id like to see a day in the life of Nova. Designing the new sanctum, improving the entry to the labyrinth and maybe an expedition to the ant enclaves hunting ground.

StraylightGrove

I said this last peek but I’ll ask again: more of the afterlife of change. POVs, people not from the dungeon enclaves showing up because they valued change a lot in their life, people finishing their project and the POV of them being ready to move on and see what’s next. More afterlife!

Worros

Yvonne meeting Tula in the Guild library for the first time with Teemo. I can see her telling Thediem stories that don't make the reports being entertaining, and who/where the Dewey system originated. Tula meeting Honey in the secret library would be fun too

Ethan B.

I think it would be cool if Thediem got a pond for the forest, I know its not exactly a nudge but I feel it would be cool nonetheless.

Austin Miller

I want to see more of the weird ways the world uses dungeons with weird specialities. I asked before about if there's a group or service out there that guides classless individuals or those seeking to evolve their class to something better to improve and do they start to see dollar signs when hearing about what Thediem has done? I would also like to see people using dungeons for political advancement. Like what the process looks like for creating a dungeon and maybe deliberately creating mining focused toybox dungeons to help a settlement grow. Maybe there's a group of "dungeon generation consultants" who specialize in architecture that will encourage certain dungeon varieties to spawn? Is there a dungeon that has subsumed a kingdom before? Has a dungeon gone to war with any civilizations? I know there's murderous dungeons, but I mean like "you're invading my homeland so I'm sending my troops too" type activity. Everyone seemed surprised when Thediem enlisted adventurers in his fight with Neverrest, has the opposite happened? I feel like this might result in a MASSIVE benefit for the dungeon in question, being able to get the mana from kills but without being starved out by the population.

Nomadtheus

Can we get a check up with the dungeon museum or archive figured they might be going crazy with what Thediem is doing.

liketurtles

I would like to see a bard or a random person meet Slash and see if he/she will like the instrument and I want to know if thedm is going to make any more instruments

PickledTink

I'd like to know if there is a dungeon that really wants to give everyone a pet cat or dog. It would just be a delightfully weird way for the dungeon to pay back the community for being their friend: By giving everyone in the community a friend! I'd also like to see a kinetic affinity dungeon. I imagine most everything would be in motion. I'd also like to see a tale about the Dungeoneers Guild trying to find an extremely shy dungeon that keeps hiding from them. Questions: 1) Can a Scion from a destroyed dungeon join another dungeon? 2) If so, would a Voice remain a Voice if the dungeon it joined already had a Voice?

architectural engineer

I would love to see a tamer finding one of Thediem's new monsters once he figures out how to make them.

Jacob

There's a lot of good stuff here. But what I want most from ygis magnificent story is to see the orcs come to visit. Their treaty keeps them from crossing the river, but I want to see some small group come to the city, perhaps seeking healing from anti-life magic or something. I want the orcs to be the focus for one of the books coming up. I think you've hinted at them lots, I just want to see it finally come to fruition

DittoMikko

It could be fun to see a dungeon that doesn't like fighting so it goes all in on illusions to scare away delvis. Could also be fun with a dungeon that is a hall of mirrors.

Logos

I would like to see a chapter of Old Staiven making another delve, please. Or maybe a chapter that focuses on non-combatants delving.

Worros

The mad science trio Honey, Queen and Thing planning traps and explosives (particularly the glee at the idea of explosives) for the cores protection in the new sanctum. Or a cabal of Scions making secret plans to protect or counter attack the Earl because they think TheDM is being naive.

Speedsaber

The king being informed about the crown inspectors report on fordock and thedm

Gryphaun

What event caused Telar and Olanders initial(?) meeting to be so cold? Previous peeks mention a crown inspector 'usually' retires from the guild, was that not the case for Olander? Additionally, I recently mentioned an idea for a peek about maybe the new guild leader, and maybe his guild introduction / sign up routine vs Karn's, which we saw how his non-adventure routine is with Tula.

Gryphaun

Right, we saw the king read Olander's report of his victory, but we never heard anything about the life drinking belt from him or the elf matriarch who was in the dungeoneer guilds archive room in the capital. And now he made a tree that overlooks a forest that's a mile³ large! Next day edit: my brain also just sparked that the museum you meant was that museum of dungeon oddities, which held our aranea's first singular silk sock quest reward. I wonder if the museum now has Dweller bows and armor stuck behind glass so people arent tempted to take them or take them apart.

Cantharellus Cibarius

I'd like something about people who have no ideas what the hell tdm even is suddenly discovering gravity affinity is now a thing.

Alex Turff

Are Tarl's parents still... Active?

MattUDFells

Oooh, what if someone from Earth appeared in Thediem's afterlife?

Alice

Can we see people who specialize in resarching magic learning about thediems shenanigans?

MattUDFells

Baby dungeon with gravity affinity?

MattUDFells

Given the contents of today's peek, has there ever been an instant where a hostile party used a large scale spell to attract invaders to a dungeon or town?

MattUDFells

Also, can we have an update on Rezlar's siblings? Are they as corrupt as the Earl or are they just to scared to appose him? Do they envy/look down on Rezlar for being in Fordock, since he would basically go unnoticed by daddy dear? Or have they heard of Fordock's development and pity/envy him for getting the Earl's attention?

caleb williams

After the last peak I think it be interesting if we got a point or view of invader actually reaching a dungeon core and getting it completely, or maybe the view of a more intelligent invader attacking like those powerful ones that copied south woods creatures

Golem Spartan

What's been going on with Grim? We heard that he was extremely active in the Forest of Four Seasons, even moreso than in the Graveyard, but otherwise we don't get any details on him.

Golem Spartan

What are some experiments that Queen, Thing, and Honey have been up to? Last I checked, Thediem dropped the idea of Gunpowder on them by accident, have they done anything with that?

Golem Spartan

Another Scion we really haven't heard much about is our OG Tiny! What's happened with him? Yeah he runs the maze, but after Neverrest, he never got much time in the spotlight.

you wish

Whats been going with Coda? We dont hear much about him or the water dungeon that much anymore

Gryphaun

Marl the new kobold teamster could be a good perspective to use, especially if she is running the route between fourdock and silvervein. Just in general for some of these, and as a teaser of wider delver interest

deefdragon

Would be interesting to see how "normal" people who werent nearly the literal first delvers of a dungeon get their class. I assume its training etc. but it was mentioned previously that Violet might be a good "kiddies first dungeon" etc.

Nomadtheus

Ya the oddity museum especially when Thediem makes dinos since he did mention that having a zoo section for living denizens

Magnadra

How did the nudges came to be? Just an organic Prozess or a stroke of Genius on your part?

12Baku34 .

This is mostly related to the chapter that came after the peek, but is it possible we can get a look at the kings enchanters who he ha to chain to their workstations to get their work done? I think its been a while since we last visited the capital.

Chase

I wanna see how other gods and pantheons react to and discuss Thedeim

Pranked

I've had this random thought. What would theoreticaly happen if you brought a dungeon core out of the dungeons area of influence?

Dathon

I'd like to see a peek from Teeth's perspective.

Kebbitevoke -

Theres one of the peeks that goes into that, a dungeon simply claims the area ahead of it. The wondering dungeon I think its called.

architectural engineer

I would love to see a normal undead specializing dungeon that isn't evil. like what would a good one look like.

architectural engineer

maybe some royals have a dungeon mausoleum where they can visit their ancestors in some sort of day of the dead type deal

Roger F Tueting

I hope you looked over your last nudge from February. I added at least a dozen comments/questions/ideas last month. I may add them again but not yet. Please look/read. Thanks for your writing. Enjoyable!

Magnadra

Thediem discribed Queen as proabably Nightmare to fight if her hunger for learning would translate into combat (Book 2 Chapter 62). How would a fight against Queen look like? I would have thought of her like the commander type but now I imagen the fight more like a tidal wave

ColdBlooded Network

Please get the reaction of the royal dungeon to thediem.

Dragons & Disaster

I hope I’m not too late! I’d love to see how other dungeons react to adventures who’ve delved Thediem. Given the changing seasons maybe they’re use to a certain pattern of adventures which, given how many delved Thediem in winter and/or chose to delve him this spring, maybe it’s disrupted something and another dungeon will get curious?

Shino

How does Thediem being a god change anything with the pact Gerlfi made with Titania, his Fey Scion?

Nomadtheus

That would be interesting and a headache when ever it starts messing with stuff.

Nomadtheus

I just remembered did that school trip ever go through Violet yet.

ID Dragnil

I would love to read the perspective of an Guildmaster of Aventurer guild in another town next too fourdock who see more and more of his adventurer go to fourdock

Laetitia

Hello, thank you for your wonderful book first ! I would like to know if anyone tried or managed to tame a scythemaw?

Roger F Tueting

I was wondering if most invaders have a twist of stagnant manna ( or are made of it )? Is that why Leo, Jello, & Teemo could not convert a mole or gremlin many many chapters ago? Is that a reason for spawners —- to create stagnant free denizens? ( I know the Harbinger’s spawner is the exception. BTW, why doesn’t Order create a detection system for stagnant manna in spawners?)

Roger F Tueting

Do the people of Thedeim’s world have a sense of living on a planet? (If they do… I suppose the world needn’t be a sphere.)

Roger F Tueting

Will Thedeim introduce things like microscopes & telescopes? I think Honey would find these devices interesting.

Roger F Tueting

If cheese & sewage are affected by decay affinity, is rust a kind of decay affinity related to metal. Are all things, organic & inorganic, living & non-living affected by the decay affinity. Would I age faster in Violet’s dungeon or if I made cheese?

Roger F Tueting

Will any of the scions develop an illusion affinity? A while back Honey had profound experience in the Southwood while sitting in the fur of an “imaginary” fox. I can see Honey using illusions to make her lectures more effective. [ I just remembered Zorro has an illusion affinity. I guess I’m referring to Scions’ who already have the knowledge affinity (or, perhaps, mental affinity.) ]

x4x0000

What are the life spans of the different species and how old are the characters? Do Freddie and Rhonda ever visit the orphanage? What do the people there think of how they turned out? How is Grim doing now that things are back to normal after dealing with the Maw?

Roger F Tueting

I was just wondering if a denizen sent on a mission ( to the Maw or just Fourdock ) can get lost. I imagine a rockslide getting lost like a child & trying to get home. Is it a sad story or does it have a happy ending?

Roger F Tueting

Denizens can have their own quirks. If a Gi-Ant or a Wyrm (or better yet as a friendly pair) decided in a moment of boredom or wanderlust to tunnel far below Thedeim or tunnel down & to the side with a bit of ADHD, losing track of time, and… accidentally raided a very deep dungeon or found something, like a lost civilization… well, I haven’t thought much beyond that… just dreaming myself. What would Thedeim do? What would you write?

Roger F Tueting

Will Jenn involve herself in Pul’s training? I like her.

Roger F Tueting

What would working on a storm affinity look like? Could Fluffles or the Albatross possibly do this discreetly without the whole area feeling threatened? Does the mayor need to be notified if the conduit really stretches his storm or lightning muscles? How would this not be seen as a kind of intimidation?

Roger F Tueting

I’ve suggested this previously but I think it would be funny if Honey’s seeker of truth affinity was used for something a sleazy PI would do: “ Honey, can you tell me if my spouse is cheating on me?”

Roger F Tueting

I have the impression that the Antkin are not especially religious, nor have they elevated Thedeim as their creator or developed specific Antkin beliefs. ( Which is ironic because he was a divinity when they progressed. ) Is that impression correct?

Roger F Tueting

Are ratkin, antkin, or spiderkin always part of the enclave until Thedeim dissolves it? I can see some having a family with someone they meet in town, becoming adventurers, or deciding to devote themselves to The Shield & becoming a paladin.

Roger F Tueting

This may be totally incorrect but are changelings the sentient, people version of Jello?

Roger F Tueting

Will any of the upcoming scions decide they want to do the same thing as a current one… specifically, do enchantments or alchemy?

Roger F Tueting

Thedeim has been lucky. The Southwood has two scions & by appearances, the bear is kinda lazy. Will Thedeim ever have a Scion with no work ethic? Or just disagreeable? Or whiny, etc…

Roger F Tueting

Will Tiny ever get bored of running the maze? After 1000 runs, I can imagine it would get old. Would Tiny ever say anything and if he asked to quit, what would he do? Would the maze continue?

Roger F Tueting

Are the denizens capable of feeling disgruntled, ennui, or angry? “Oh here I am again, all ready to get sliced up, have my eye poked out, my leg removed!”

Roger F Tueting

I doubt if Thediem will publish anything for his followers to follow, so to speak. But will anyone publish some of sermons by Lark or the Spiderkin enclave or Aranya. Or will someone else publish their thoughts on Thediem. And would Thediem add a preface?

Roger F Tueting

Can you show how a dungeon dedicated to stillness & the stagnant sustains itself?

Roger F Tueting

Are subsumed dungeon cores collectibles or do they vanish because they are made of mana & the mana is gone?

Roger F Tueting

Why does the Dungeoneer’s Guild make such a big deal about seeing a dungeon’s core? If there is a dungeon, there is obviously a core, There are probably lots of cores it never sees especially if the core is belligerent or murderous. Is the DG just nosy or is something deeper than that?

Roger F Tueting

If a dungeon has spatial affinity, could it learn to move its core around? Or, better yet, the entire dungeon?

Roger F Tueting

I’ve kinda wondered how Thediem avoids complaints about the piles of bird crap from his hundreds of birds.

Roger F Tueting

What do hundreds of crows & ravens do everyday on expedition? They must go pretty far in neighboring areas: woods, farms, villages & cities. Do they report monsters to the rangers? Pick up gossip about local romances & affairs? Stop thieves & bullies? Just wondering what kind of mischief the birds get up to…

Roger F Tueting

Has Coda’s/Thediem’s concrete made any kind of impression in the kingdom?

Roger F Tueting

I’m surprised Leo & Honey’s work dealing with The Maw didn’t earn them titles like commander, strategist, or tactical analyst.

Nomadtheus

Was wondering if there has ever been an accidental tame before , like a invader hides some where and decides to stay becoming a denizen.

Roger F Tueting

I not sure if this is possible. Could a scion with heat, light, or sonic affinities develop microwaves? I know several years ago, products (or perhaps prototypes) for personal protection were developed using microwaves, I wondering how Thediem would deal with this new affinity.

Roger F Tueting

I’m having some trouble turning this into coherent comment/suggestion/question…So excuse my mess. Quite awhile ago before The Maw was found, Yvonne, her group + Aranya searched for Aranya’s original home. They hiked for several days or more before stopping at what I think Thedeim called “a mushroom rainforest.” I think this trek might make an interesting addition to Thediem’s dungeon. I not sure how it would work, how it would supply mana or even if it would be popular. It would be an expensive bit of real estate. Perhaps, it could be a hiking toybox section. Lots of nodes for herbalists. Or it could be partly your snake enclave. Or Thediem could go up at some point & create an exit. I’m not sure why this bit of the underground is fascinating to me but it just is.

Roger F Tueting

You’ve spoiled me. I’ve been listening to Audiobooks & I’ll think I should make a comment about that… then I remember, this isn’t Khenal & I just feel frustrated. Thanks for your nudges, peeks, & stories.

Roger F Tueting

Could healing calm an invader and/or those with stagnant mana?

Roger F Tueting

Do you plan to indulge in another nudge soon?

Roger F Tueting

You wrote this about Thediem’s afterlife “I can also see the changes in everyone as they work, becoming more… them.  I don’t know how else to describe it.  Some of them is refined and purified as they work, and some of them just falls away like sawdust, or forge scale, or scrap fabric, or… something.  The rules of reality here are definitely different from outside.  Either way, the bits that are discarded are dawn to me, and gathering them up feels like holding sunshine in my hands. I don’t know what it is, but I can feel a lot of potential in it… I haven’t tried doing anything specific with it yet, and have instead been giving Aranya a tiny sliver each time she does her own magic.  It’s definitely been making the kobolds more inclined to listen and trust I’m not going to just stuff them into new cages once they lower their guard.  Her magic feels more impactful, more real, like there’s more weight behind what she’s doing.  It’s kinda weird to have that kind of effect, but it’s also pretty cool.” You haven’t pursued this line of thought as far as I can recall. Do you plan to use it or at least give us a few Peeks about these slivers?

Roger F Tueting

“Ghouls, Ghasts, Whites, Skinwalks.” These were other options in the zombie spawner. I think they would make frightening additions to Thediem’s dungeon.
