New Release Schedule (Temporary) (Patreon)
Content
Hi everyone!
Starting in November 2024, there will be a small but important change. Instead of releasing the download link on the 2nd of the month as usual, it will now be dropped at the end of the month. I understand this might be frustrating for some of you, but please allow me to explain. This change is not something I want to do, and it could be temporary.
Why is this happening?Patreon is encouraging creators to switch from the "1st of the month billing" model to the "subscription billing" model. If we don’t switch, people using the Patreon app on iPhones won’t be able to sign up. Patreon will also remove the "1st of the month billing" option by next year.
What does this mean?Currently, we use the "1st of the month billing" model, which means no matter when you join my Patreon, you are charged on the 1st of each month.
With the "subscription billing" model, you’ll be charged on the same day you join each month. For example:
If you join on November 15th, your next billing date will be December 15th.
Why move the release date to the end of the month?Let’s say we switch to the subscription billing model:
I drop the download link on November 2nd.
You join on November 10th, but you won’t be charged until December 10th.
When I drop the December models on the 2nd, you will have access without paying until December 10th.
This means someone could pay for one month and still access models for two months, then cancel before their next billing date.
The solutionTo prevent this, I have to move the release date to the end of the month. This ensures all payments are collected before the models are released.
It’s not a matter of trust, but unfortunately, some bad actors are still in our community and trying to steal and resell my models, as you may have seen I had posts about that on my Instagram. I spend weeks working on these models, and it’s disheartening to see them misused.
This change is temporary. Patreon is aware of the issue and is working on tools to address it. Once those tools are available, I will switch back to the usual release schedule.
Please don't worry, for seasonal models, I will make sure to have them ahead so you can prepare for the holidays.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
