I really like Stephanie doing theses interviews and this is such a sad story. I can't wait for pt 2. But I was the same way when it came to babysitters. I have only used a babysitter once, thank goodness she was really good with my kids. But other then that only my immediate family watched my girls for me. I also got divorced when my oldest was 3 and my youngest was 1 and thinking something like this could happen to my girls I didn't really date while they were growing up. I think i only went on 3 or 4 dates but they never met my kids. My oldest is 19 and my youngest is 17 now and I asked my youngest recently what she would think if I started dating now and she told me I was too old to date now..lol it made me laugh. The scary thing is someone could seem like the nicest person to your face and be doing things like this behind your back and sometimes you would never know and that scared me, especially since I had 2 girls. I'm glad this man made it out of such a dark place. The guy killing his dog in front of him always makes me cry. None of this should ever be happening to anyone, child or adult. It is so sad.

Also I LOVE the way she says "Indigenous cultures" whenever she's addressing Indigenous peoples, regardless if the popular American term is Native American.
