It's been really interesting hearing various Korean people explain why Arirang and what it means to them. It's been as varied as the song itself, although every reaction I've seen has been positive. Here's what they said in the live about why they chose Arirang (pulled from Forbes that wrote it out): “The keyword ‘Arirang’ came up,” RM says. “Honestly, the meaning is different for each person, because there are many ways you can interpret Arirang’s lyrics. I think it’s about sadness, longing, and love.” J-hope says the past and performing were something they all longed for and truly love. He says, “[Arirang] feels like our roots. From that way, Arirang was what tied it all together really well.” “We missed being in society,” says RM. “We missed ARMY and the Bangtan members a lot. Since Arirang contains the joy and sorrow of life, that kind of sentiment will be tied to the music – the joys and sorrows that we experienced ourselves. [Arirang] ties it all up together well.”

I have watched this performance like 5 times since the album title came out. I remember seeing this performance awhile back ago and loved it. So it has been so nice revisiting this song. I hadn't watched the DKDKTV explaination video yet so i'm glad you included it in this video. I love how the different regions were included in this version and the ways this song could be used. Would you guys be willing to watch Hybeboys translation to BTS' weverse live after the album title was released. RM talks more about why they named the album Arirang and they talk about alot more things having to do with the album. It is almost 2 hrs, it would be great if you could react to it, but i also understand if you want to watch it on your own time.
