K-POP LOVERS REACT TO BTS - INTRO: YOUNG + RUN + GOOD DAY + WISHING ON A STAR + FOR YOU & I NEED U (Patreon)

Today we’re diving into Youth, BTS’s second Japanese-language album and third overall studio album, released September 7, 2016 through Pony Canyon. The album features 13 tracks and marked a major step in their expansion into the Japanese market, with first-press editions including photocards and a version bundled with a DVD featuring music videos for “For You,” “I Need U (Japanese ver.),” and “Run (Japanese ver.).”

Commercially, Youth made an immediate impact, topping the Oricon Daily Albums Chart on release and debuting at number one on the weekly chart after selling over 76,000 copies in its first tracking week. It later earned Gold certification from the RIAJ for surpassing 100,000 physical sales and finished among Japan’s best-selling albums of 2016.

For this reaction, we’re checking out the tracks we haven’t experienced yet from the album: “INTRO: Youth,” “Good Day,” “Wishing on a Star,” and “For You.” We’ll also be watching the Japanese version music videos for “I Need U” and “Run” to round out the experience from this era. Let’s jump in and see what Youth has in store.
