We totally get why you picked this song as our next reaction after watching the Opalite MV! We hope you enjoy the music video, Behind the Scenes, and a great live version of Anti-Hero with us! Thank you so much for your support, Swifties!

Omg thank you for a double dose of Taylor this afternoon as well as the behind the scenes and live! what do I watch first 🤪

Renee

Omg I can’t wait!

Krista Grigsby

The man video is the first one she directed herself I love that video it’s so good lol

Krista Grigsby

There’s a couple moments in different midnights music videos that make me wonder if The Life of A Showgirl was supposed to be the album following midnights instead of The Tortured Poets Department. The version of taylor that’s at the door/the teacher/looking in the bathroom mirror is wearing teal and orange.

Kmajla13

Omg you did bts too. So exited

Renee

Oh gosh the 1975 performance… ALL the lore behind that performance that you will one day learn

Krista Grigsby

Oh no. That’s at a 1975 show, not her show with her production design, band, etc. that opens a big can of worms of Tay-lore lol

Leah Dawn

Ahhh, you guys made my day by dropping this AND episode 2! Love you both and all of the heartfelt commentary. Great reaction.

Tiffany

Yikes! My eyes when I saw it was a 1975 performance! lol. I'm going to count on someone else to drop that extensive lore lol. I love being on this journey with you guys and seeing everything with fresh eyes. I got so excited when I saw the notification that you had dropped both the song and the episode.

Caroline

my recommendation is to finish TLOASG and then maybe go to reputation and u can watch the rep tour!

Kmajla13

Absolutely loved your reaction. Your thoughts are so on point and I appreciate how you share your stories. If you want there is one more bts from Anti-Hero MV and TikTok video where Taylor talks about this song.

Christina D

There are more behind the scenes videos from anti-hero !😅 you watched only the one part. Just so you know 😊

Carrie

With a lot of crazy lore’s coming out of the woodwork 😂

Carrie

The 1975 live version is so funny and one day when you get all the lore you will sit back and laugh 😆

At the risk of overstepping or being a weirdo (or both), you really need to forgive yourself for any past hate. You realized you were wrong and quickly changed your thinking. Can you imagine how much better off we'd be if more people reassessed their beliefs after learning new information? Celebrate that instead of punishing yourself.

Chris Sk.

In the music video, even in death, she still believed she was the problem.

something about being on the bathroom scale, in her doc 'miss americana' she talks about her anorexia, if you can believe it, the haters had her believing she was fat. when you can, you guys need to do Miss Americana. it is what made me a ride or die for taylor. she addresses the kanye incident when she was onstage, from her perspective.we know what we saw but she was ...confused by it. of course i look forward to hearing about the concert you're going to tonight!

I've read that the way she holds her pen to write is because it's easier to go back and forth playing the guitar and writing lyrics/notes.

Was listening to "The Swiftie and the Scholar" who do amazing breakdowns of Taylor's songs - starting as poetry, and the most recent one I caught was their breakdown of "Anti-Hero" (because they were looking at the five songs she submitted for her nomination to the Songwriter's Hall of Fame.) It's SUPER deep and wonderful, tracking Taylor's journey from being an all-American girl hero to fans/public/media to being an anti-hero - someone who is a "hero" but is profoundly flawed. So, with her self reflections - the doubts she has about herself (are they real?) - it's almost like she's apologizing to her fan base. So sorry you have to support/defend me when I'm such a mess... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VE3fOY6WVM

I'd also heard that it helps her hand not get cramps when she's signing...2000 CDs. :-)

So glad you enjoyed this one! The depth in her lyrics is outstanding. I believe you will like The Man as well - and it's the first video she directed herself. There are bts for that video as well. One of my favorite live performances of The Man is when she did the Tiny Desk, I think she sang around 4 or 5 songs on that one, so you might want to wait until later to tackle Tiny Desk, but definitely add it to your list to do later.

Kellie

My first thought when I saw they were reacting to that performance.
