Hoshi is a part of 3 subunits: leaders ( Scoups, Hoshi, and Woozi), who debuted in their second full album( “ teenage “ ) with a song called " Change Up ", which, in case you haven't heard, they were the members who spent the most time as trainees. Bss( Seungkwan, Dk, hoshi), which is stands for BOO(Seungkwan)SEOK(Seokmin/ dk real name)SOON(soonyoung/ hoshi real name). During trainee days, SeokSoon was already a thing so they carried it later on . By the way, you'd be surprised to know the leader of this unit is actually Dk, not Hoshi. HxW (Hoshi and Woozi ) also unofficially debuted in their second full album “ teenage,” but it was only a song, so their unofficial subunit was BRINGITZ to give you a rough timeline of what's going on for Hoshi at this time: Jan 8, 2025, BSS released their second album "teleparty." Feb 2025, they ended their RIGHT HERE World tour, which began after Jeonghan(2nd oldest) enlisted in Sep 2024. March: hxw "beam" album release( they sent it to all idols that are 96ers, fun fact ), which is a crazy comeback, wrapping up a world tour, and another comeback all before their 10th anniversary comeback. May was for their happy burstday events + CARATLAND ( their 9th annual fanmeet in 2025) April: headline Tecate Pal Norte festival in Mexico July to August Wozzi and Hoshi tour ( which, fun fact, 9 out of 11 of the remaining members attended; Jun and the8 were in China at the time, but they called before their concert. and even scoups, shua, dk,mingyu dino( dino had literally gotten back from a flight after performing in Saudi Arabia as the first kpop idol), the same night (jeonghan also attended that night but since he can't perform while in service, continued watching them ) jumped in for an encore song with hoshi woozi

I feel that Woozi doesn’t get much attention because he is a simple person really, with no personal desire for success as an individual, but for seventeen, he wants his kids to be loved, as he knows what it means to them. He's a hard worker who doesn't really like the attention. As he doesn't go out of his way to promote himself but he will join variety shows usually only when its the full group, he enjoys being a part of the process and simply performing with his kids, rather he doesn't aim to be loved by everyone, or prove something he is a firm believer that if they show their talent eventually people will recognize that, Plus it’s not as catchy to say when introducing themselves, since it’s not short. As for other groups, take 3racha as an example: they built Stray Kids' identity and musical sound, so you can't separate one from the other, but it rolls off the tongue more easily. .both groups shape their sound and everything has their staple, yes woozi has always carried the weight of producing their music and being their main producer since before their debut but as do other members in their own right, because they didnt come for a big company they had themselves anfd their teachers like bumuzu ( who started of as their vocal teacher as trainnee, which trransisitioned to their hyung to a part of the team which they never fail to credit him at awards and vice versa) and hyelim (started of as their dance teacher that observed hoshi create choregraphies and just simplying watching over them and teaching them about being in sync and importance of being able to standing out when its their tutn to be in the center, she gave them the liberty to be creative while giving them feedback to grow which waas different as alot of people follow what the teacher tells them to do espcially up unitl 3rd gen, they broke the norm as what is possible from kpop rookies to be self producing so much so that its a normality within alot of 4th and 5th gen grouops .. Even to this day she watches over them and helps anyway she can) both of them the type to teach them to run themselves rather than holding their hands while walking but in a way itwho they were as they became so involved to the point you couldn't separte a member from seventeen which in a way worked out as when you made that association to a member you made it to all involved. It's also one of their best traits. Usually, staff would leave after they grow to this extent so they can work with bigger names in the industry, but seventeen has this magic that once you work with them, it makes you want to work harder yourself. its a matter of who they are as human beings that make everyone around them stay, and even promote them as if they were their own jobs lbut its because it is what they envoke, seventeen has the mentality that if the staff are willing to stay with them whether it is from the beginning or recently, they are the type of people to bring each other up to the top like you were a part of my jounry its not i will make it but we will make it together, like a strong sense of loyalty and comrandity that isn't seen as often, they are the definifition of i love my team i love my crew. they have made it known time and time again that working with them isn't something their staff or dancers will ever regret if anything seventeen will hype them up as if they were the superstars instead, each concert and performance they make sure that everyone gets a round of applause, and most of all have fun, and even bring them up in their own segments like they have this segment that they are krumping for a certain amount of beats and it be just them they bring up dancers to have the spotlight, even the band gets their own spotlight. plus what other team lets their own staff tease them anywhere even on stage without fans being upset about it , like yes tease them for carats, yes baby the members, yess correct their positions if they are wrong, yes leave vcr messages for the members they can watch during their unit tours just like the rest of the members, yes get back at them for putting you on the spot in the middle of the cconcert .so earlier this year, they let us in on their celebrations for their staff after their tour ended about a raffle all the members contributed prizes even those enlisted, and whenever someone won they literally expressed their happiness and hyped them as if they were the ones to win it no correction they arent even as excited when they win themselves and their banter and environment is what i think should be fir kpop industry. a lot of the members contribute to lyrics/ composition/ choreography/ video editing + photography it becomes hard to single a member out as rather than individual standing out they move as a unit so becomes more of a group element but at times it also minimizes them as a group globally compared to other groups, which is great, but sometimes i wish they pushed a bit more globally because they deserve every bit of love they receive and much more. But hey, even if they are different, they made it to the global scale without much promotion, lots of word of mouth, and simply watching their performances, and for that, I will be endlessly proud of them Like, honestly, the hip hop team all write lyrics for a lot of their music, and they help compose a lot too, especially since their earlier album, fun fact if you check under lyrics, usually the whole hip hop team is involved in their title tracks with Woozi and Bumzu, literraly the only songs woozi tend to step away from its the hip hop unit as they have proven time and time again they can do it themselves to make it easier for him .so if they helped, usually their style will shine. I remember you mentioned figuring out Woozi's style when he writes a song, but when it has a touch of the majority of the members in it, it becomes harder to pinpoint who had a hand in it s a beginner, but then it becomes easier once you hear them. So they are listed right after Woozi. The performance team all contributes to seventeen choreographies, but a lot of the recognition goes to Hoshi Dino and their choreographer. I always felt it was bound to happen with a lot of members, but they don’t work for recognition; they work on it because that’s where their passion lies. Jun and Minghao are heavily involved in their own solo work too, from lyrics to composing/helping compose to their choreography. During Jackie Chan's acceptance speech for "The Shadow's Edge" at his red gala yesterday, he called Junhui and cisha his "future successors," then passed the award to Cisha, who handed it to. junhui And do you know how big a deal this is? Being called a "future successor" by the one and only Jackie Chan speaks volumes about how far Junhui has come. Wen Junhui started acting at just 2 years old, made his film debut in 2007, and won the silver award for best new actor from the Hong Kong. After stepping away, he returned to acting in 2023, and now he's being named a "successor" by someone who had such a huge influence on his acting career. from idolizing Jackie Chan, to working alongside him, and now being acknowledged by him like this. Junhui truly deserves that title. He went through so much, balancing his schedule between acting and being an idol. And with his hard work and dedication, it brought him here. The vocal unit tends to be more of the medleys and improvising during their practice. But it’s hard to introduce themselves like that, so they often just get caught up in the self-producing group rather than have their own contributions brought to light, as they do a lot, plus that isn't even going into depth with their contributions for going seventeen. Seventeen is the leading group from the third generation with the most writing credits, self-producing rights under their belts(that's not including their involvement for their variety content ), and second overall, right behind Stray Kids, and the most content they have out to the world. Another little record they hold in Korea is the first-day sales and weekly sales, and 3 worldwide, second to MJ

ooo about the checking out units idea, like BSS unit it’s probably one of their most famous units as it’s been a minute since they debuted , I think that'd be a great idea, their second album is a mini quite short, but it's good. Personally, I think it'd be easier to check out their older songs first, as i know you reacted to " Fighting " that wasnt their first song they put out as BSS, I just feel it would be easier starting from " just do it " before " CBZ." But it's completely up to you. Plus seventeen has a lot of subunits like JXW (Jeonghan and Wonwoo , hannie last activity was seventeen headlining Lollapalooza after their Glastonbury festival in 2024, he is set to be discharged 5 days after seventeen's Caratland this year, but he missed his boys soo much that he used alot of his dayys off to fly to see them perform whether it was as a group subunits tours, or practicing and wonwoo finished their tour in 2025 did caratland but wasnt able to fly out to mexico for seventeen te'pal Norte , but since h lost at caratland they added fliming cookcoups days before the seventeen members flew out but they left content and music set to be released during their enlistment, since the new world tour started without the 13 members and as a 9 member tour, all four of them attended their concert even bring their NA PD as weel, oooo another fun fact JXW flew to japan for CxM unit tour which literally suprised everyone because they mentioned on their live that almost all members. that could attended and mingyu was whining to scoups like the night before to make it happen and bam next night in their show they show up) ) )kinda gave us a theory they are indirectly telling us who is going to be next to enlist or be away for some time through this and their MVs, especially if you pay attention to the first and last shot. which was followed by HxW (who enlisted within one day of each other, Sept 15 and Sept 16), but they were the only ones that got a proper send off by the rest of the members, as they weren't on a flight to another or other schedules. CxM ( scoups and mingyu unit scoups needs to get his screws removed from his knee from his ACL injury he had back in 2023, which means he will be out for at least half a year + the reason he got exempted from enlistment, which was hard for him as he is the type to want to enlist first aand experience any hardship before the members and welcome them rather than sending them off one by one, and mingyu has been wrapping up all his endorsement shows and fashion like Dior and clavin klein, etc, plus they jdid a unit tour before jumping back to their new world tour that just ended but they still have a few more encore concerts + caratland in June 20 +21 which will probably be his last schedule. honestly as mingyu is sccoups favorite even tho they are in the same hip hop unit he wanted to do something special with him before he leaves , while minnyu wanted a solo bahaha honestly you will hear about about it in the coming episodes ) DXS ( dk in age order would be next as well, technically before mingyu but they arent the ones that choose the date hes looking at the members the way he looked at wonwoo during last year caratland his last schedule might be after their unit tour, seungkwan finally got his chance to be a host and is involved in alot activities which means he will be next although is still unclear if he is leaving end of 2026 or beginning of 2027) Vernon and minghao are set to debut in June ( which means vernon will be 2027 which i had the idea that because he is american he was exempted but since he is dual citizen and diidnt reliquish either he has to enlist like any korean men and he is set to do his passion with movies later on , minghao doesnt need to enlist because he is not korean but he will probably be out to pursue his own passions ) which would leave the last unit to debut either a trio or a duo ( shua + jun )and a solo ( dino) but as jun and joshua want to do more acting for themselves . Honestly, I have the utmost respect for Jun. He literally spent half of the time on the new tour on flights going from filming, new world tour locations, and fashion shows. Literally, this week he spent half of the week in China for awards and fashion shows in China, and was back in Korea yesterday to film Going Seventeen and join their live in person to practice for their encore concerts that is in a few days honestly that dedication and drive they all have as individuals and as a group is what makes them all the more special and loved by anyone that works with them. The only thing is it would be a bit harder to get a feel of seventeen as a whole but if you really want to break it down by units before their mini albums/ studio albums might I suggest you start from the first song that unit put out and go chronologically from them .for accurate lyrics and credits I suggest using the YouTube channel seventeenlyrics for their songs

As for the in the soop, yes, you'd love them just being themselves! Although be warned, they behave like a family, so much so, even in their downtime, it's really healing seeing them just relax. Often, what we might take for granted reminds us just to let go, even if it's only for a moment , honestly they are such a positive group overall that they make due with a given situation, they really have a way with changing one’s mindset in a good way . Might I add a suggestion tho, DO NOT watch it on an empty stomach. I recommend you get a snack and drink and simply lie back, as those boys can eat and eat and eat, which I'm totally glad about. Also, a small reminder that the vibes are going to be different from the bts one, where bts tends to give one another time for themselves and are more introspective in a sense. The best way I can put it is kinda watching them on a healing journey, they have that effect on people, most of their group shows are just about that, simply healing and letting go, like NANA tour, NANA BNB, game caterers, even going seventeen. seventeen heal together and do more activities with one another, whether in pairs or different groups with one another. At the end of the day, they are just boys taking care of boys, especially. In the first season, there is a clear difference in their energy; they are usually loud and have lots of energy, but in the second season, they are more exhausted as it is right in between their tour, and it is more during an emotional time for the members, but they definitely get just as many wholesome family moments

Surprisingly, Seungkwan isn’t a leader; actually, he is the 3rd youngest, but he is the leader of his subunit with Dk (DxS) . It might be the impression he gives off as he has the most experience in variety shows as that’s specifically what he trained the most in the green room especially since he went all out to promote seventeen in variety shows and ask for opportunities to present themselves he gained even more knowledge from seniors in that regard and he absorbed it for the betterment of seventeen, his comedic side definitely helped draw attention towards seventeen but that mentality stay with him, he tends to speak out for his members and other kpop idols . The leaders are Seungcheol, Soonyoung (hoshi) and Jihoon ( woozi) each leads differently and share the responsibility. Honestly they were strict and scary to get themselves to debut as a team they carried a tremendous amount of pressure that they didn’t have to as kids they all did but specifically them ( which is understandable as their debut had been put on hold quite a few times when they were already planned before 17tv was livestreamed as trainees) but they definitely mellowed down over the years , members used to be intimidated by them in their trainee days and earlier days . Fun fact actually woozi also had a acceleration button and competitive strike in him which he let go to keep the balance within the team . Even Vernon mellowed down from the energetic boy in those livestreams and to a more reserved

After the happy burstday album promotions, some joined variety shows like Joshua for the fun of it and promoting, some members had a bit more of a break, like Vernon, who took a few weeks to disappear with just his family members, and CxM were filming and flying from fashion brand events to LA to Hawaii to film their MV for their unit that was coming out in September. (Keep in mind later on that they started working on it since this tour around the same time as Woozi and hoshi were but they kept working during the filming of their MV. They literally documented their behind-the-scenes in their Seventeen channel under the "에스쿱스X민규 1st Mini Album 'HYPE VIBES'" which is pretty interesting and fun to check out. They kept filming Going Seventeen in between, so that it would be. aired every Wednesday with pre-recorded up until Hoshi and Woozi enlistment (mind you, they were a unit touring as well ) and a few more episodes afterwards.Dino was preparing for his performance at Saudi Arabia, Jun flew back to China to shoot movies and dramas in between the press events for his movies. Joshua and Dk had a photo shoot at the Maldives for a big magazine in Korea . Minghao took time off to be with his family, to take a breath before and in between their new world tour, which started in October 2025 and ended just recently, on April 5, 2026( a day before Mingyu's birthday) , with their encore stages. Dk and Seungkwan began preparing for their unit, which debuted in January 2026. Seungkwan got his own show to host, Joshua signed with an acting label, and they had to attend the Milan fashion shows, etc., at the end of the year as half of the members appeared individually in 2025. They just wrapped up and are flying to their new world tour. Cxm will perform once more at the end of this month as an encore after the unit tour they did in between their new world tour. Dxs are starting their unit tour as well this month, Vernon and Minghao are finishing their album to debut in June, and be V8 ( which if you watch them chronologically youll see that its not the first time they work together to make music together specifically under minghao's solo work ) right before their 10th Caratland (annual fanmeet they put on every year, where they do skits, prepare medleys and songs you wouldn't hear at concerts and unit switchs or as in this year's case solo switch ) which will be held for two days. 5 days before Jeonghan was discharged, I don't think you have witnessed his presence since you guys dived into seventeen, but for sure, he will make his presence known sooner rather than later. Honestly, this hiatus stage they just entered is a sort of a break that they truly deserve. They have consistently been dropping 2-3 albums each year for 10 years now, as their 11th year. They are beginning to wind down more especially with members' enlistments and absences that are about to happen; it's their way to not stay still, and trust me, they will do just about anything but that. Although some don't have a personal desire for solo work, they will push through and do it until they are back on stage as 13!oooh fun fact even in the military hoshi found a way to active on Weverse and in the army taekwondo Instagram , he’s definitely putting the seventeen name in the army but also scaring the members as they have declared they will NOT BE DOING AEROBATICS in their choreographies when he returns and WOOZI and Hoshi got promoted 2 months earlier to corporals in just 6.5 months in the army

As to Minghao's comment about seventeen being a tiny group, he meant it as they are, but ordinary people who worked harder towards a dream, it's the mentality of seventeen as a whole, it's one of their intriguing factors about them
