SUNDAY COFFEE LETTERS: June 13th (#13) (Patreon)

Dear Patrons,
This week's Saturday Coffee Letters is kind of a two-for-one because, well... I didn't write one last week.
Last week was an absolutely crazy week, and I fully intended to sit down and write a Coffee Letter for all of you, but life had other plans. Before I knew it, the week was over and Saturday had come and gone.
One of the highlights of the week was an amazing excursion to Cathedral Grove. For those who don't know, Cathedral Grove is home to some of the largest trees in the world and is filled with towering Western Red Cedars, giant maple trees, and all kinds of beautiful old-growth forest. It is one of those places that reminds you just how small you are in the best possible way.
Kyle, Oliver, Isaac, my brother Aaron, and I all went on the adventure together. We spent the day wandering the trails, looking up at trees that have been standing for hundreds of years, and enjoying some much-needed time outdoors as a family.
While we were out that way, we also stopped in Coombs and visited the infamous goats on the roof. If you've never heard of it, yes, there are literally goats living on the roof of the market. It is one of Vancouver Island's most iconic attractions, and honestly, it never gets old. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I highly recommend giving it a Google.
This week has brought another big milestone for our family.
Oliver is starting his daycare trial period!
He just got his very own backpack, and he absolutely loves it. In fact, he has been wearing it around the house almost nonstop since we brought it home. We are incredibly excited for him to spend time with other children, learn from his teachers, make new friends, and experience all the wonderful things daycare has to offer.
We're also hopeful that daycare will help encourage his potty-training journey. Potty training has been a major focus in our house over the past few weeks, as it is a requirement for the daycare program we're applying for. Thankfully, he's been making great progress, and we're incredibly proud of how hard he's working.
On top of all of that, we've been spending a lot of time behind the scenes getting everything prepared for all of you. Reactions, newsletters, schedules, and upcoming content have all been organized and planned out for the month ahead. We wanted to make sure everything was running smoothly because, at the end of the month, we're heading all the way to Saskatchewan for Kyle's sister's wedding.
We are so excited to celebrate with them and be part of such a special day. It is going to be one heck of an adventure, and I have no doubt there will be plenty of stories to tell when we get back.
I hope next week's Coffee Letters actually arrive on time. I considered posting a Tuesday Coffee Letter, but somehow it just doesn't have the same cozy feeling as a Saturday or Sunday one. So once again, thank you all for your patience, your understanding, and your grace when life gets a little chaotic over here.
I'd love to hear from you:
What was the highlight of your week? Did you attend any family events, go on any adventures, or have a moment that reminded you just how beautiful this world can be?
See you at the next Saturday Coffee Letters ☕
