Monthly Poll (Patreon)

Oh hey look a monthly poll! It's only been (squints).... one or two months since the last one of these...

Seriously though, I've been absolutely horrible at remembering to do one of these polls, so hopefully this will be the kick in the ass I need to keep better track going forward.

For this month's poll, everyone will be voting on which totally not abandoned fic I bring back to life! Some stories will have the option for a complete rewrite and the others will be just a normal continuation so keep that in mind when voting!

Option 1: To The Victor Go The Spoils Semi-Backtrack. Will basically rewrite the last two-three chapters and continue the story from there. My reason for abandoning it was just pure lost of interest. I was trying to follow a pattern I'd seen many other fics use for storylines like this, and because of it I no longer felt the story was actually my own. But! That doesn't mean I'm ready to give up on it just yet! TTVGTS was my favourite fic for a time and I really want to give it the justice it deserves!

Option 2: Rent-A-Wizard

Complete Rewrite. I've mentioned wanting to rewrite this one before ,and I think it's finally time. I may go ahead with the rewrite even if this one doesn't win just because the idea has potential; my original version of the story just didn't. I put a pause on this one because I was trying to make a mix of purely disconnected chapters while also having an overarching storyline that just...didn't work. My next attempt will probably try to make the "somewhat plotline" flow a bit better between each chapter, without feeling completely dependent on making a new setting each time. Probably doesn't make all that much sense now that I read that back, but hey, my mind rarely, if ever, does.

Option 3: Undercover Lover

Complete Rewrite of both Story and Premise. I'm gonna be honest, I had some BIG plans for this work, yet when it came down to it I severely dropped the ball. The three chapters I did write were...disappointing to say the least. I was trying to do too much build-up too fast and it made each chapter seem really rushed. If I attempt this one again I'll probably change up a good bit of the story's premise to make it a bit more palatable in a sense. Perhaps instead of going undercover in some random sex cult, Tonks and Harry have to put on the guise of a married couple within a magical community that's seemingly cut-off from the rest of the world? Idk, this one would need a bit more workshop on it.

Option 4: ...Or Are You Just Happy To See Me?

This one is sorta cheating. It was originally going to be a sequel to one of my first fics, Is That a Beater Bat In Your Pocket?, that just never happened. I don't know why I never made it. Probably because at the time of it's conception, I was working on like 6 different fics at the same time and didn't have room in my schedule for another. In any case, I think it could be interesting. It certainly would open a few new opportunities that I haven't played with before, though I'd want to finish one of my other works like In Bloom and Denial of A Dalliance first before I started on it.
