Big Update Time! (Patreon)

Hello! Been a bit ey? Hope things have been chill on your end! 

Gonna be upfront! My last video (A slightly different Minecraft Trailer) was a rather intense undertaking, thus I ended up not drawing for almost 3 weeks after during the Christmas break. Safe to say I'm definitely right back to it now and will give you a large batch of redesigns in a week.

Next! While I wasn't drawing I was certainly planning out the next video in my Redesign Series (which will be my next post on YouTube). Was brainstorming more ways I could include each of you again in the video since you know...you're the reason i can even do this, so wanted to run by 3 things with you!

First, I have big dreams for the redesign series and the world I'm building. Eventually wanna find a way to turn it into a proper animated show. Therefore I'll need a proper 'official' title and was thinking: Zone 83 (The Redesign Series) but idk if that's good/memorable enough. So if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them!

Secondly, I thought it'd be fun to include drawings from you in some of the grungy alleyway scenes in the next video as Graffiti! (Similar from last time where I showed off your Pins) It can be a drawing of anything really (previously drawn or new) but if it lent into the Graffiti style that'd be siccckkk

Could even just write out your name/tag in a Graffiti-esque font! Whatever's easiest. There'll be a channel in the Discord server set up very soon where you can dump em! Got over a month till it's due so for anyone interested there's no rush!

Finally third! For any Voice Actors here, I got a scene where there's a long line of people casually waiting for something. Thought it'd be so cool to have a few of my Patrons talking in the background as an Easter Egg! Can be in any language (in fact it's more than welcome! You could even swear and Grandpa YouTube would be none the wiser) All I ask is try sound super natural and non-performative. Just everyday life - mundane and super casual. Like the weather or how you lost your entire family fortune to a purple gecko.

The audio file can be send directly to me via email or sent privately to one of my Mods on Discord cause Patreon chat apparently hates us here. (Deathtothebutterflies@gmail.com)

The scene goes for almost 3 minutes currently but ofc it can be as long or short as you like. (Again, not due for over a month). Also if I do use your voice I will make sure to list your name in the description.

Now time to jump onto Discord for a bit! Will be fun to finally catch up and even maybe throw a couple OC sacrificing quizzes at you >:D

I just took a hiatus from the server due to some things that were happening with mods, either way it's good to know you're ok. If you have time, I have a creature concept that might fit in the zone 83 setting.

Super exciting! I like the name, though I’m sure you will get several good ones from Patreon. How long do you want the voice clips to be? Are we excited that we are waiting for something or is this just a long line like at the bank where it’s boring as all get out?

Love the idea of turning the redesign series into an animated universe!! Zone 83 sounds like a pretty cool name for the title tbh (and honestly I can't think of anything better lol). I think it would be cool if some of the patreon redesigns made cameos within the show (nothing major, mostly just background appearances or something. Maybe like as the main characters are like running around trying to escape they see like a room full of test tube redesign babies or something). But anyways, I'm glad that you are ok and honestly your health should always come first over some silly little ppl on the internet. Have a good one :DD

A lot of really cool ideas here, hope we get to see their full potential. The name Zone 83 is pretty cool to, doesn't really need a change, but you could add something if you feel it's needed. Something like "Zone 83 Experiment Log." Or something to that effect, but the baseline is just fine as is.

Hope you throughly enjoyed your vacation! I’m not much of a fan of the title. Don’t roll off the tongue nicely to me and not super memorable. Maybe something more around like “Rebirth”, “D.E.M.O” or “Ney-sayers” (last one being a bit of a pun on your name, the two ponies Steven and Marie and the in-story controversial experiments on the OC’s)

Zone 83 is best I think it's much more memorable than anything I can think of and yes I will 100% be posting more of my stupid art can't wait

Wow! Hope u enjoyed ur vacation Ney. What an exciting update, sounds like a dream coming true and I’d love to be involved somehow. I reckon having the title as “Zone 83: A Redesign Series” works as it tells viewers the setting and premise, and ppl can just call it Zone 83 (similar to how ppl just say “Arcane” instead of “Arcane: LoL”).

Zone 83 is def a good title for the series. A simple title like REDES1GN or just Redesign also works. It implies the meaning of the show, but also can bring the implications of something more sinister.

Zone 83 sounds like a good title, you could try something like the game "VA-11 Hall-A". If you want it to say Redesign you could try "RED-351 GN". On to the second thing, I am the artist of the Electric Eel Leviathan that you redesigned a bit ago, feel free to use it in your world :)

Honestly, can't wait for what's gonna get cooked up here. As for the name, hey, maybe a mix of "Retrofit" and "Redesign" would be fun. something like RetroSign(e) (bonus points if the number "83" can be hidden inside the name with font shenanigans) ...And that VO opportunity sounds fun, now that I think about it.

So glad you're taking breaks but still keeping up the awesome work! This is a personal opinion but frankly the genre you created is tricky to do correctly but I think you nail it flawlessly with every video. What I'm trying to say is, keep doing what you're doing, ignore the haters, and most importantly, have fun.

Oh, Neytirix. Such a beautiful soul. I personally like Zone 83, and I may feel that way because I found the "Welcome to Zone 83" vid to be particularly impactful as it captured the setting in all its wide range of vivid colours and visceral emotions. Would love to contribute to the graffiti or voice acting! Sounds fun, but maybe after I finish sorting out some stuff in my own life. Looking forward to what you and the community produce next, one way or another! <3

All the things stated were wonderful! The graffiti and voice acting would add a personal touch, those lucky ones who get their works picked out, being able to look back to that upcoming video and go ‘ I made that one, that was all me’, adds to the already rewarding feeling of having your OC redesigned just makes it the more memorable. For the animated show concept, I’d image the episodes being titled after art puns, stuff like “Color Me Surprised”, “Inkredible Adventures”, “Sketchy Business” or “I'm drawing a blank” would be hilarious concepts to name them >:]
