This is a beginners guide to working with UI Toolkit.

I avoided looking at this for quite a long time, mostly because of all the comments of how 'similar it was to web development' - which is...my least favorite thing ever.

But I spent a couple days dinking around with this system and I have to say I REALLY quite like it! So with that being said, if you've been curious about UI Toolkit, or want to get started, this is the perfect video for you!

Nice video! Learned a few tricks, even though I've made a few menus with UI Toolkit already. If you don't like casting to Button (like me), you can also do it like this: _button = _document.rootVisualElement.Q< Button >("StartGameButton"); and you can also do like this if you don't want the RegisterCallback way: _button.clicked += OnButton_Clicked; private void OnDisable() { _button.clicked -= OnButton_Clicked; } private void OnButton_Clicked() { } This way you won't get that Event parameters that you most likely won't ever need. Edit: Seems liks < and > gets omitted, so I had to add space in the Q-code above. It should obviously not be spaces there.

didn't know about either of those, thanks for the heads up, I'll remember that!
