Did what I could! I hope it helps

Takuya Sawatari

I discovered your work some years ago from scans of Harucos 3 that were uploaded on sankaku channel. I just found out that you are on patreon two weeks ago, otherwise I would have started supporting you much earlier. Many Japanese artists only release low quality previews digitally, with high quality reserved for printed books, which is pretty frustrating, since I use a high-gamut display that looks better than paper, and I’m willing to pay for high quality digital artwork. So I was absolutely amazed when I found out that you release your work here in full resolution in lossless png and psd. I think the way you handle your digital releases should be the gold standard for more artists. I saw your posts about someone re-uploading your work, which I suppose is a sad side effect of becoming popular. I hope that you will not stop releasing high quality art because of setbacks like this, even if it’s really frustrating. Trying to stop people like him from stealing your art would hurt honest patrons the most. Regarding Fakku, I dislike western publishers in general, because from my experience, as soon as they start to get a bigger audience, they all turn into gatekeepers at some point, who want to decide what can and can’t be shown/released in Japanese works, because they want to sell them to more casual buyers and play it safe for maximizing profit. A recent example that got a lot of attention was Crunchyroll censoring the Danmachi game, but there are countless examples. I also want that my money ends up in the hands of the artists I like, not in the hands of some western businessman. For those reasons my main source over the years have been DLsite and DMM, and sometimes printed books from Mandarake. So I hope you continue publishing your work in a direct way, without any intermediary publishers. For feedback about your artwork, I honestly don’t know where to start praising it, since it’s really good! I will try to find the time to write some detailed feedback. At the moment I’m really happy about the amount of high quality artwork you release here, so I think you’re on the right track.

Thanks for your comment! I think the biggest reason why artists do not offer high resolution images is because they are afraid that they will be used for something on their own. Regarding Fakku, I did not contract directly but it seems that the publisher contract I signed up with Fakku. Regarding what publishers are publishing through, I can not let everything free. We are considering drawing manga without going through publisher in the future. Of course, there are lots of demerits, not just merit. It is difficult to change various things at once, so I will gradually improve it. Please provide some support!

Thank you! I carefully read all the received comments, and I refer to them. In order to provide better service, I would like to think over what I can do in the future. I felt "to decide which character to draw by voting every month", is a good idea.
