Hi everyone! Here's everything I worked on during the month of February, exclusively for Patreon supporters.

Link Cleaner

I rolled out several small updates for Link Cleaner, my web app for removing tracking code and other variables from web links. The settings page now has larger toggle checkboxes, updated descriptions, haptic feedback for the toggles on iOS devices, and a new setting for FxBluesky.

Just like FxTwitter for Twitter/X Links, FxBluesky acts as a proxy for Bluesky posts. When you share an FxBluesky link, the embed preview always works in Discord, Telegram, and other similar apps, even when Bluesky's own preview fails or has privacy restrictions.

I also fixed the QR code being cut off on small screens, and finished some general code cleanup. Finally, I removed the in-progress 'Link Cleaner Wrapped' feature that would have shown year-end statistics about your cleaned links. It was impossible to implement in a privacy-respecting way, at least not without some account system and cloud synchronization.

Just the Browser

I rolled out a few more improvements to my Just the Browser project in February. On Mac, the configuration scripts now support Microsoft Edge Beta, Dev, and Canary, instead of just the regular Microsoft Edge browser. The installer check for Edge in the macOS Applications folder has also been removed, so it will work if your app is renamed or located somewhere else.

Nexus Tools

February marked the official end of Nexus Tools, my cross-platform installer for Android's ADB and Fastboot utilities. I already wrote a post about it, so go read that if you haven't already.

The Spacebar

I published two articles on The Spacebar in February:

How to use the Galaxy XR with PC VR and VRChat

I used an original iPod Nano in 2026, and it worked surprisingly well

I'm also working on an extended review and editorial about the Galaxy XR headset, partially because it's a fascinating product (for good and bad reasons), and partially because there aren't many full-length reviews about it.

You can subscribe to The Spacebar as an email newsletter, or follow new posts through the RSS feed, the Mastodon account, or Bluesky.

Tech Tales

I haven't talked about my technology history podcast Tech Tales in a while, since the release schedule has slowed down significantly. It was difficult to record new episodes for a while, due to time constraints and some unrelated issues, but I'm aiming to get back to roughly one episode per month. There will be another Movie Club episode next month, and then back to regular retrospectives. I'm also in the process of cleaning up metadata for existing episodes.

You can subscribe to Tech Tales for free on Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, Apple Podcasts, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music. There's also an RSS feed, and it's available in many other podcast players.
