Hey guys, thank you all for your support this month!

The S7E07 Explained video is shaping up to be a ~24-minute monster. As in the S6E10 video, we're including a map summarising the basic shape of Westeros at the end of the season. It's startlingly top-heavy, with almost every named character in the north, or heading there. Is there anyone important we missed? Assuming Hot Pie, Daario, Illyrio, Quaithe, Shagga and Dim Dalba don't return ;)

This'll be the last Alt Shift X video before we take a break over September (Patrons won't be charged at the end of that month). So we're looking to end this season on a high note, with an extra-special vid. It'll be out in the next few days – will keep you posted!

Cheers

Can I opt-in to get charged in September anyway? 🤔

The only details I can think of: * Isn't Bronze Royce still at Winterfell? Wasn't he present for Littlefinger's execution? * Edd is at Castle Black, Tormund and Beric at Eastwatch, the rest at Winterfell or heading there * We see Jaime leave alone, Bronn would still be in King's Landing unless shown otherwise

Alt Shift X

Yeah I'm playing it pretty loose with the geography. Yohn is near Robin Arryn just to show his connection to the Vale. Might shift Bronn a bit south, but assuming he'll heard north... But yeah good point with Tormund and Beric - will move them over to Eastwatch. Thanks Ben!

Ben Salvidrim

Actually, of the six surviving members of Wightnapping party, Jorah, Jon and the Hound went to KL, while Beric and Tormund stayed at Eastwatch. So what about Gendry? Don't recall seeing him in any KL or boat scene, so wouldn't he have stayed at Eastwatch instead? Do we even see him at all after he asks Davos for a raven? If not, and considering the shape he was in... I'm not even sure if he survived after delivering Jon's message... Come to think of it, was Davos with the KL party? Might have been but I'm suddenly not sure. If he wasn't he would've been at Eastwatch as well presumably. EDIT: Sorry if I'm giving you extra work by being pedantic about such details :p

Question: Would Theon be in Pentos? The last he heard, his uncle was heading back to the Iron Islands. Presuming he left before Jamie is able to tell anyone that Euron's really heading to pick up the Golden Company, wouldn't he be on a futile mission back to the Iron Islands? And technically Ellaria is still alive and watching her daughter rot. I know we probably won't ever see her again, but she's still kicking and potentially out to help with any sort of revenge. (now I'm being pedantic lol) :)

Ben Salvidrim

Considering there is nobody leading Dorne (that we know of) and whoever ends up on the Throne (if someone does) will need each faction/region to swear fealty, I think it's not that unlikely that Ellaria could be rescued and restored as a Dornish leader at some point.... but it's also just as likely that KL might get blown skyhigh in its entirety so really, who knows :p

Looking forward to it, image above putting where everyone - including the peripheral characters - are at

Looking forward to a rip roaring final season seven vid, but not to Shiftless September! I can't deny that you deserve a decent rest after all your brilliant work on Shift and Schwift. Thank you for keeping us entertained, informed and inspired. Enjoy your break!

Rikke Holmberg

You had me at 24 minutes ... This'll be good :) When you say Shift will take a (certainly well deserved) break over September ... do you mean Schwift too?

Fred Jones

24 minutes, Rikke, TWENTY FOUR! Christmas is coming early :)

Kelly Theobald

And will you be coming back to the #schwiftysquwad Facebook? Your absence makes us sad :(

Shiera Seastar

Davos went to KL with Jon and was one of his admonishers when Jon was unable to lie to Cersei lol. We assume Gendry is in Winterfell since during his previous conversation with Davos (when they discussed him assuming a pseudonym) they talked about his desire to forge for the North, and Gendry later stating he wanted to fight as well.

Ben Salvidrim

Gendry would have needed some time to recuperate at Eastwatch after the rest of the party went down to KL for sure. He also wasn't in Winterfell by the end of episode 7, as I supposed his reunion with Arya will be an important emotional moment. But you might be right that as the wall was breached he might be on the road to Winterfell

Fantastic news. Burningman ceremony, AltShiftX video, long weekend and new babay girl added to my bloodline. I'm hyped.

Hairless Oyster

24 minutes.? Merry Schwiftmas!!!!!!!!!!!

Aliapollo

AltShiftX, I also opt-in. Please let it role :)

Rikke Holmberg

I would do that too if it was possible

Aliapollo

I was excited to see the S7ep7 notification when I woke up this AM (PDT). Can you tell us estimated time? Dear AltShiftX ?

Alt Shift X

We'll finish Schwift Book 1 before the break!

Alt Shift X

It'll be a couple more days – not exactly sure yet

Aliapollo

Cool, thanks for quick reply. :)

GemmaG

Ditto, you deserve a 'paid' holiday 😘

Alt Shift X

Thanks guys! But I think pausing the Patreon is the fairest thing to do.

Not so fast Shifty! I can buy the GoT Abridged Bandcamp album a second time, right? 😬
