Ok. I have been overthinking about Brynden Rivers lately. You mentioned a possible Bloodraven /Euron connection and I am certainly keen on hearing a good theory but I don’t feel it right now. I can’t get behind the idea. What I am feeling is there is a total connection between the two but maybe just not directly. First off I think a lot of the tinfoil stuff that floats around is really just caused by GrrM and his fascination with parallel storylines and repeating themes. Jon/Dany being the most obvious one. We also have wierwood Paste and shade of the evening that jumps right off the page with the changing tastes and LSD like properties. And the whole ice wight/Fire wight stuff too. So , Just because Mance plays an instrument doesn’t make him Rhaegar. Or because Jaime bones his sister doesn’t mean he must be a Targaryen. So just because Euron has one eye and talks about flying doesn’t mean he is aBloodraven student. I do believe in the connection between the characters. And I also believe that Euron has tapped into the same power that B.Rave tapped. B.Rave didn’t invent magic he studied ( mastered?) it. I also think Euron’s path has and ultimately will be another example of the “magic is a sword without a hilt” theme. In fact , Euron might be the only character I can think of that uses magic to specifically and purposely cause pain and suffering to others for his own pleasure. Magic fucks up a lot of people but it seems to be usually more of an unintended consequence then a direct “ bugger you in the arse chute” way. Anyways, I’m drifting. As I have a tendency to do when I drink. That’s why I drink alone. If you ever watched True Detective you would know what I’m talking about there. Have Fun. Be Well. Men specifically can carry a lot of tension in their hips. Isn’t that strange? So always stretch those hips out. I think you make a good point about not every parallel being a direct relationship. Two characters can independently get to the same place, like convergent evolution y'know? So yeah we'll have to be careful not to jump to conclusions with Bloodraven x Euron... And damn, True Detective seems like a real downer haha

Ok now you are just trolling me....... ha... role reversal. I was just listening to aCoK. Somewhere around chapters 15 or so there are back to back Jon/Arya chapters. Jon is in Whitetree heading to Crasters and noticing empty villages and a general sense of dread and doom. Arya is experiencing the same thing with that good bloke Yoren through the Riverlands. Parallel storylines. GrrM just loves that shit so much. I hope you touch on Dunk and Egg with the Bloodraven video. He casts a large shadow over all three novellas.
