What did you think of the new Westworld episode?James Delos' scenes form a fascinating arc, and raise some crazy big questions about Delos, Ford, Bernard... Not to mention the revelations on Grace, and Stubbs. And all the symbolism and allusions... Lots to talk about this week. The video is underway!ASX

It was the directing debut for Lisa Joy, and I loved it. She handled Bernard switching timelines in a very compelling and seamless manor. I really enjoyed how the episode was presented. I also liked the Delos story arc and how that was handled. For anyone complaining that Season 2 isn't like Season 1 - this episode felt like Season 1 in terms of structure, revelation, and questions raised.

This was my favorite episode so far. Finally feels like we're getting into the meat of the story now.

In terms of story, the fact that William seems to be running his own loop (sitting at the same table in the past, taking his gun apart, requesting the same drink, etc) almost makes me wonder if the Lazarus project story is the end game. If these guests have died (or are dying) and come to WW to be "resurrected" and they must complete their loops. It would also help us understand how Ford is still able to talk with William despite being dead.

Great episode. I’m curious as to Ford’s comments (through Lawrence’s daughter) about MiB looking back and not forward to advance in his game. This goes counter to what Ford himself said about humans being stuck in their own loops and dwelling on the past. Just something to think about.

The mystery I haven't seen anyone even asking about is "Why does William care about Lawrence?" He is totally ruthless but he keeps Lawrence around despite not getting any real benefit from it. Maybe Lawrence has been given Logan's personality so William can keep torturing him forever?

🤔🤔🤔 yes, that is something that bothers me as well. Good theory. Though maybe it’s the opposite—William feels guilty for what he did to Logan. He does seem to be more remorseful lately...

I'm thinking the same thing. Whole episode kept making me think more and more that William isn't 'real' and the control unit that Bernard printed before going to town on the lab was for him (William).

I think this is my favorite episode. So far I haven't been too impressed with season 2, but I think that this episode really brought me back into the fold. Also I'm super curious about what exactly happened to Logan, and if Bernard can be fixed

Best episode so far, I would say. I agree with the other commenters that this had me wondering if William is alive. He seems to be on a loop of his own. The scenes with Bernard flipping between timelines were amazingly well done. And the opening scenes in James Delos' "home" were just visually stunning. The scenes with Elsie made me want to rewatch season one.

Great episode! I need to re-watch it tonight. There are so many aspects that making an explainer video will be tough. I'm particularly touched by the James Delos storyline (what great acting). The pain of knowing that the MIB tried 149 times with the poor guy. The horrible realization in Jame's eyes (and the disappointment in the MIB's). Jame's final crazy loop into madness/ hell (no glitches though!). And finally, has Ford successfully implanted a human mind into a host (and who?)? Can't wait to see what you have to make of it all!

good story structure

It's amazing how much has happened in just four episodes...

I'm not sure if it's because Lawrence has Logan's personality but maybe William deep down has grown to feel a sort of attachment or friendship to Lawrence that he doesn't really have with anyone else. Also, I appreciate we got to see a new side to William this episode by saving Lawrence's family which kind of casts him as an anti-hero.
