Soon, we'll hold the first ever vote to decide on an Alt Shift X video topic. I'll be presenting a huge list of topics for voting Patrons to choose from. Now is the time to make sure your favourite topic ideas are on that list (:

So – what do you want to see in the next video?

Isabela

Dany video.... Dany prophecies, etc.

Hunter

My personal favorites from the list above are Jojen Paste & Patchface. Patchface being my favorite of the two. I'd also love Know Your Name assuming it's a video about Theon very similar to the one you did for Arya, as he's my favorite character in the series. Above that I would highly suggest a video on the Lighthouse Theory, i.e. How Stannis will win the battle of winterfell, which is one of my favorite theories I've come across. Keep up the good work X!

René Weissflog

From the list above... oh man hard to decide, "What are White Walkers?", "Patchface" and "Young Griff" are probably what interests me most when it comes to Game of Thrones videos. But again, tough to decide. Going to topics not on this list, a video about "The Pink Letter" would be something i'd like to see a different opinion/view on. I quite enjoy your non GoT videos as well, the "Perception" topic would be quite interesting.

Paul Barry

I'd love you to have a look at 'What do the Others really want?'. GRRM has said they have objectives. What might they be?

Liza Grant

Ah! Frey pies would be awesome. All theory videos you do are just the right amount of chapter evidence and humor. The character background videos would be sweet and you'll always get a watch from me regardless, but you seem to have a special flare for the theories. Just keep making videos basically :)

Jonathan Melenson

If we're picking from the list above, a video about Patchface would be cool, and I hadn't heard anything about Bran eating Jojen until now, which also is an interesting theory. Outside of the list above, I'd love to see an in-depth analysis of exactly what Daenerys saw in the House of the Undying since it's one of my favorite chapters.

Linsel Greene

I'd love to hear your take on why the Starks entomb their dead, and their unique relationship with those beyond the wall.

Amberest

Definitely Patchface. Second would be Frey pies. See if you can put a case together that Patchface accurately predicted the Frey pies.

MrFifaSA

as always ,, thank you .. i vote for "is young griff a blackfyre"

Ashna Raman

The Patchface video looks like it could be really interesting - definitely gonna vote for that one. Otherwise, a couple of other possibly interesting topics might be: - Talk about the relationships between Melisandre, Moqorro, and Benerro (and maybe Thoros), and their cryptic predictions - Explain what might come of Marwyn the Mage's quest - What's up with Penny? She is obviously going to become a bigger character, with possibly a tragic death, but does she hold any more importance other than a companion to Tyrion (re: the moment with the Widow of the Waterfront)? - Will the Greyjoys become major players in the game of thrones? Can they help in the war against the white walkers, or are they just distractions and side characters (albeit interesting ones) I'm sure whatever video you do will be great! Thanks for doing these!

Alex D.

I still want to know about Marwyn and what Jaqen/Alchemist/Pate are up to in the Citadel and beyond. And the fact that Qyburn is maybe not the ASOIAF equivalent to a serial killer, but he is a Mengele type of serial killer at this point, which also ties back to the Citadel. I saw some better topics before that were possibilities, forgotten now.

Embiss

Theon! A character study of him

SuperPizza

Syrio = Jaqen H'ghar What is Jaqen H'ghar doing in Oldtown? What's Marywyn doing? What are white walkers? Coldhands? Why is Bran so important? What is he going to do?

Alex D.

No edit....there was a Maester Aemon on the first page I saw, another tie in to the Citadel, and what Marwyn is up to, his comment on how Aemon was out of favor for the same reason he is, after mentioning Aemon's bloodline. And how much does Marwyn know, how much is he connected? Certainly to Mirri Maz Duur, and he's mentioned by others throughout the book. There may just not be enough on him and the Citadel to handle a video. OK, that is untrue, you made a 6+ minute Ser Pounce video, certainly your Citadel effort would be a very interesting take. Also, thank you for understanding the great human drama between Tyrion and Tywin (and how it makes for a better story) in your video on Tyrion possibly being a Targaryen as well as the very apt observations on Arya in the recent one where you seem one of the few to realize that she is a child of extreme trauma in survival mode. Everyone else just seems to want to see her stab everyone, you realize she is broken. P.S. out of all of my family and friends who aren't terribly interested in the theories, I finally showed one of your videos to them at a gathering, and they insisted on watching every. single. one. Not forum going types, employed and little time to read the books much, they all, without exception, were amazed. Hopefully a few more pledges coming! Apologies for length, as always. @InjuredAlex

waleed tellawi

or one of the game of thrones one please :D

Alex D.

Frey pies would be great, but with full exposition of the purported Northern Conspiracy (as I'm quite sure you'd do).

clockworkblues

I seriously think patchface is a character worth looking at, I mean the series is mysterious but Patchface is a total enigma of a character

John Webster

The Grand Northern Conspiracy would be great, but it would be a long video.

Sarah H

There's the theory of Rhaegar's harp or some other important item is in the Winterfell tombs, was the mysterious man that Reek saw who likely killed the Frey boys one of the spirits of the past Stark kings that was released because his sword was taken from the tomb, is Bran warging into Mormont's crow, is Young Griff really Aegon, and that the Children of the Forest actually created the Others/White Walkers in the war with the First Men. Also what happened to Rhaegar's body after the Battle of the Trident.

Lisa

Maggie the Frog prophecies. Who is the valonqar and who is the younger more beautiful queen.

Awgree

X, in what other shows/book series do you have rank Loremaster? To the point you could research them and create topics. Don't get me wrong, I love the Game of Thrones videos. But it does make me wonder if there is another font we don't know about.

Tom Hart

Would love to hear about Varys and what he's up to. And who or what else he might be.

Paul Barry

GRRM has said some theorists have picked up the clues of how it'll end and got it right. How about a comparison of the ending theories and your take on which is most likely?

Paul Barry

Sorry, I'm greedy. I'd love to see a detailed analysis of House Dayne. Is there a reason their words have never been revealed? Do their words indicate their place in how everything ends? What's the story with Dawn? Could it be Lightbringer? What about Ashara Dayne: why did she really commit suicide? Is her daughter or son out there somewhere? Who 'dishonoured' her? Seems to me this house has to have a bigger impact at some stage.

Johannes

1. A year ago you made a video about Littlefinger. I would love to see an updated version, now that we've seen S5. I have no idea, what masterplan could be behind his actions and I would love to hear some conspiracies. 2. Videos about philosophy, psychology or sociology. 3. Lore about some of the easern counties in GoT

BaptisteM

I'd like to see what's up with patchface. The Maggy the Frog prophecy would also be cool! (:

Kaitlyn

That's a great idea!

Kaitlyn

Of the ones you've listed, "Cersei and Maggy the Frog," "Know your name: Theon," and whatever you're planning on doing with Fallout 4 would be my favorites (I absolutely love the Fallout series, so I'd love to you do a video about it). The "Is Young Griff a Blackfyre?" theory and a study on what Varys is up to are good choices, too.

Matt Armstrong

Cersei and Maggy, Varys and Patchface would all make awesome videos!!!

bluemargaritas

Varys, pink letter, patchface, and house of the undying!

Nick Osbourne

How about Jaqen H'ghar's whereabouts in the books. i.e. possible Citadel story line. Or the pink letter?

Sface

Patchface, coldhands, house of the undying prophecies

Julia Rogers

Cersei and Maggy, also Patchface please!

Adam Miranda

How and when Rickon will eventually return to the story both in the books and in the show.

Diana Rook

I'd like to see something on Varys

Jason Rattray

I would like to see your predictions surrounding Brann's powers and how they will be used in the last two books/three seasons.

Robert Drummond

I would love to see a video about interpreting Patchface and his ramblings! Interpreting the House of the Undying visions would also be cool.

Daniel Heymann

Who was Maester Aemon, Varys, Others: Whitewalkers. PS: LOVE YOUR VIDEO!!! :) :)

Alt Shift X

There are a few series here and there that I know pretty well, but the problem is that to make videos, the series needs to be A) complex enough for there to be something to talk about, B) popular enough to justify spending time on, and C) a series that I love. It’s really really rare for a series to tick all three of those boxes – which, in my eyes, makes ASOIAF really special. To actually answer your question, I’ve considered making videos on Rick and Morty, Community, Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Fallout, BioShock, Scott Pilgrim, The Hitch-Hikers’ Guide – I also want to do some history stuff, and more psychology and science. But for now, I’m happy to focus on ASOIAF. I definitely hope to expand into other series in the future, but for now it’s great to celebrate something that has subtlety and meaning as well as massive mainstream popularity (:

Rhaenys The Cat

Did Rhaenys skinchange into Balerion the cat and is Balerion the one-eared black tom? That Ser Pounce AA video was most intriguing!

Martin Green

Is Young Griff who he claims to be, and why is he not in the HBO version?

Martin Green

What can we deduce about the final outcome of the series by seeing which characters HBO has chosen to eliminate?

Kat Reynolds

given GRRM's other work, is all this going to end with And Then Aliens Arrived?

Madison Leffel

Please do the Jon has a twin theory!!

Anissa Aponte

I second that please do the Jon's twin theory!

Isabela

do you believe in R+L=D and therefore R+D=J?

Reverend Xandria

I think a great topic would be on Robb's will. Who his heir is, and where the will is currently.

Alt Shift X

Yeah I touch on that a little in the HS=HR video, but it definitely could warrant its own video
