Euron & Westworld (Patreon)

We held a Patron vote to choose the next ASOIAF video topic, and the winner is Euron Greyjoy. In the TV show, Euron’s a pretty shallow and forgettable character. But in the books, Euron is terrifying and complex. He’s not just a swaggering pirate king – he’s a charismatic manipulator, a cunning politician, a world traveller, a sadistic murderer, and a power-hungry sorcerer. He’s got a magic dragon horn and a collection of priests. His lips are stained blue from hallucinogenic shade of the evening. He’s connected to some of the biggest mysteries in ASOIAF, like Faceless Men, warlocks, dragons, Valyria, and Bloodraven. And in The Winds of Winter, he’s planning a mass blood sacrifice to achieve apotheosis as some terrible apocalyptic god – “These are the last days, when the world shall be broken and remade. A new god shall be born from the graves and charnel pits”. Euron is the harbinger of sorcery darkness and doom, the beginning of the end for Westeros. So yeah… should be a pretty cool video 👁️

We’re also preparing for the next season of Westworld. We’ll make weekly videos for each episode of the season, just like with Season 2. So now we’re rewatching Seasons 1 and 2, getting our notes and video files in order, to make sense of the New World in Season 3 🤖

We’re still taking some time off in February – the Patreon is paused, so you won’t be charged at the end of this month. But we’re aiming to finish the Euron video before Westworld starts in March.

Thanks!
