Doran Martell & Dorne (Patreon)

The Patron vote is closed, and our next ASOIAF video will be about Doran Martell & the Dorne plotline. The TV adaptation of the Dorne plotline was kind of a disaster – after Season 5, GOT sheepishly sidelined then killed off all the Dornish characters, leaving only an 'unnamed Dornish prince' in the series finale. But in the books, the story of the Martells and Sands is as full of plots and drama and intrigue as any other  – and they'll no doubt have a huge role in The Winds of Winter. (GRRM said we're "going to be seeing a lot of" the Sand Snakes in TWOW).

So what is Prince Doran's plan to avenge his siblings Elia and Oberyn? What's up with the secret Martell-Targaryen pact? What was the point of Arianne and Quentyn's failed plots? Will Obara kill Darkstar? What will Nymeria and Tyene get up to in King's Landing (and who will they murder?) How will this play in to the conflicts between Cersei, Young Griff, and Daenerys? And what's the underlying message of this bloody tale of vengeance? These are the questions we'll try to answer in this video.

I dunno if we can fit all that into one video, so we might focus mostly on Prince Doran – and can cover Arianne, Quentyn, and the Sand Snakes in future videos.

We've also got an odd little experimental video cooking about a sci-fi story. And later on, I wanna cover Dune, His Dark Materials, and Foundation. (Dark Season 3 is cool, but so ridiculously intricate that the amount of work to explain it would be better spent on an ASOIAF video).

As always, $4+ Patrons can get extra little updates and screencaps on the video-talk Discord. (Connect your Discord account).

Thanks for your support! Hope yall are safe and well.
