Vote for a series below – whatever wins, we'll make a video about it. You can vote for multiple series!

Remember to also vote for a Game of Thrones / ASOIAF topic in the other vote!

Note: Most ASX Patreon votes are open just to $4+ Patrons, but this one is open to all Patrons

Foundation is a classic sci fi series by Isaac Asimov, being adapted for Apple TV

Dune is a classic sci fi about politics and religion and spice and sandworms, with a movie coming in 2021

Devs is a cool weird show about technology and free will

Dark is an intricate mystery about German time travel shenanigans

We've already made some videos about The Expanse -- our next one would explore Season 5, maybe comparing it to the books

His Dark Materials is a fantasy about religion and parallel worlds and talking bears

The Boys is a gritty superhero story based on comic books -- would be cool to compare the show to the comics

American Gods is a novel by Neil Gaiman about old gods and new -- Season 3 of the show is coming soon

Y: The Last Man is a comic series about a world where all men are killed by a virus, being adapted for TV

The Stand is a doorstopper apocalyptic Stephen King novel, with a TV adaptation airing now

The Binding of Isaac is an indie video game with cool storytelling and lore -- the final installment of the game is coming soon

We made a non-fiction video about disaster and religion -- I'd like to follow it up with a similar video about the mythology around the planet Venus, from ancient history to space exploration to recent scientific discoveries on the mysterious planet..

Entzie

This has got to be the best one sentence summary of Dark I’ve ever seen.

Ruggero

Foundation is really cool!

Uncle Sheen

DARK. I would say Dune but there is already a ton of Dune content out there and I think your style lends itself to a proper unraveling of DARK.

Alt Shift X

Foundation is awesome, I'd love to revisit it.

Beni Bissig

I would love to hear your take on Twin Peaks... 😍

Alt Shift X

Haven't watched Twin Peaks yet.. still recovering from Eraserhead 👀

Andrey Ilkanych

I absolute would love a video about Devs. I think it is one of the most under-rated shows to come out, and has so many fascinating theories and topics to explore. But unfortunately from the votes it doesn't look like it is going to win, so I voted for my 2nd choice, Dune.

Rick Merced

I'm voting for Dark, and while though there is no TV series on them yet I would still love to see you dive into The Kingkiller Chronicle or even the Stormlight Archive books and explore all of the theories. At the very least, I'd like for you to read and enjoy them even if you never do a video on them. They are such amazing books. Thank you for all the awesome content!

Jordan Bell

Love Dune, and there’s so much history and subsequent storylines that can be explored.

Jørgen Gunderengen

I came here just to suggest them doing something on the Kingkiller Chronicles, it would be a perfect pick for ASX as there is nearly nobody who does symbolism as well as Patrick Rothfuss!

Glen Thrasher

Devs was my favorite science fiction show , but 2020 was oddly a very good year for TV. I expected that Covid would cause a noticeable decline in quantity and quality of what was on the air. Other than a seemingly larger than usual flood of odd international stuff on Netflix, I did not discern any Covid 19 effect. I loved Devs, Better Call Saul, The Chi, Lovecraft Country, Unorthodox, Raised By Wolves, I know this much is true, His Dark Materials, Plot Against America, I May Destroy You... to name a few. Obviously I watch too much television. And maybe the Covid effect will show for real with 2021.

Nick

I have a bit of an usual suggestion, but I think the excellent storytelling and themes of the show are very much in line with the sort of things you often cover (and it's more fantasy). That suggestion would be Attack on Titan. Don't know if you've seen it, but I can only highly recommend it, and I think it's the sort of show that deserves good, analytical videos, given the complexity of the narrative and characters (particularly in the latter half of the series).

Arielvaale

Dark is the kind of show that is just begging for you guys to dissect. I'm sure you guys would have a lot of fun going into every little detail it has to offer, especially considering how many branches it has, how far those branches go, and how connected and consistent everything is. It's a show that even under scrutiny has very few plot holes and overall is really fascinating to talk about. And you guys would probably bring quite the number of people to watch it for the first time which would be amazing for the smaller fandom it has.

MF Ninja

Bro gotta do Devs. It was incredible and the end is worth so much analysis.

Leon Ginn

Shit man, have you dedicated obscene amounts to the binding of Isaac too? I don't know whether to be utterly impressed or kind of disgusted that I happily still sink in hours and hours into it, six or seven years after I originally got it

Leon Ginn

My goodness this would be magnificent. And with how long the books are, the wonderful world building, and the mystery timeline of the next book release, even a Schwift channel would be great!

Jonathan Reich

Didn't we already vote for The Expanse a few years back? You did a great recap for the S5 E1. Keep it going!

Chris Rushton

Isaac is an amazing idea. I feel like it fits what you do, but also it adds something so different. Very cool idea, hopefully it gets it’s time to shine.

Olivia Williams

His Dark Materials! Those books rocked my world as a kid.

MostWiseSam

I'd love to hear what you have to say about The Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson. And the Cosmere in general!

Jublani

Dark! I can't get enough of the analysis of that show, what a masterpiece

Rusty Shackleford

Yeah, I need Dark. Like, actually need. Still only 60% sure I understood everything that was happening in that show.

Nikolas

Maybe look into the upcoming Wheel of Time Series

Len von Geist

Even though Dark doesn’t seem to get enough votes, it still deserves to be analysed deeply!

Leon Ginn

Oh my goodness! What about the Stormlight Archives? There's plenty of books in the cosmere, a rich universe made, and wonderful magic and mystery to explore in the Stormlight Chronicles

DugSnaga

Voted for the Boyz, but come on, Yours best work is definitevely ASOIAF

Kajoro Bitterthorn

Tfw you see that Berserk is no longer on these polls :(

Tyler Wise

ASX, have you ever read Miracleman by Alan Moore? I’d love to hear your take on it :)

Alt Shift X

Haven't read Miracleman, but open to more Moore in the future!

Weird Girl Diversity Hire

I really love his dark materials, there's so much lore there and I'd love to see it get covered on the channel. Love your work and the way you delve into a subject. looking forward to seeing the outcome regardless of what wins!

N1x

The Stand! Have you read The Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe? It is set in a pretty gnarly world and has lots of potential for crazy theories.

Zac Sweers

Pleaaaaaase cover Dark. Feels like a match made in heaven for your channel with all the mystery and intrigue behind it

Kevin G

Dark and Dune please!

2026-09-17 12:00 I love that you guys put Binding of Isaac on here. I love that game, I know it did not get many votes but that makes me happy you guys play it. I would love to see a live stream or two of you playing it and just speaking casually about the game if you don't have time for a full-fledged video.

Smoothbrain

Expanse and Dune! Love you guys!

Madison Ward

I will be so sad if you don’t do Dune.

Kris Davis

I joined you specifically to say DUNE!

Alt Shift X

I reckon we'll do a Binding of Isaac livestream when the new DLC comes out :)

Tiffany Taylor Michael

I completely missed this! I know voting is closed, but I am a huge fan of His Dark Materials and of Dune <3
