Things to not bode well for dear Rickon

Ileana

Shaggydog 😭😭😭😭😭 ALL THE FEEELS!!!!

Sanandreas92

Only half of the tower of joy flashback! I'm starting to hate the three eyed Raven!

Elizabeth Frum

As the direwolfs go, so goes the Starks :/

Gjergji Evangjeli

How much weight are we willing to put on the fact that the White Bull was not outside with the other two Kingsguard? Are they simply not portraying him or does it mean that he may be implicated in Lyana's death?

Andrew Lowe

Great episode, loved Jon's boss exit "my watch is ended". Also feel a bit teased there on the tower of joy but very interesting that Ned could hear Bran. Think the scene still says a lot & maybe saves the ascent for the finale?

Vineyarddawg

Well, the fact that Ned could hear Bran is in keeping with the way it was handled in the books, too. I can't remember the exact scene, but there was an instance when Bran "spoke" through the weirwood to someone, and they heard him as something like the wind softly speaking to them or something like that.

Nikolai Nystrom

Great to get a start on the tower of joy, and the naming of Howland Reed, but otherwise felt like the first ep: not much happened. Also felt a bit cheap that Arthur Dayne needs to be dual wield OP to be the finest swordsman I'm the realm.

Amberest

It was no episode two, but dug the Tower of Joy stuff. That location is amazing and has a cool history in real life. Lots of people don't believe that is really Shaggydog's head, it is too small. I kind of thought the same thing but discarded it as wishful thinking on my part. Is Max von Sydow even supposed to be Bloodraven now? He told Bran he's been in the cave for 1000 years. Cool hanging, and passing of the mantle so to speak. Now his watch is ended.

Alcubierre

I actually really loved it. Definently my favorite episode of this season so far. I didn't appreciate getting blue-balled by the Tower of Joy storyline but Olly's death made up for it.

Kate Hunter

I agree - this was weaker than episode 2. Too much teasing in Dany's storyline, and at the Tower of Joy, with no payoff. The scene with Missandei, Grey Worm and Tyrion was a complete waste of time. What was the point? No Sansa, no Theon, no Margaery. I'm disappointed the Umbers are betraying Rickon. I suppose I could hold out hope that it's a setup, and maybe it will go differently in the books. But it's not looking good for the youngest Stark.

Shaun Au

I felt sad to see Oly got roped up and waiting for the judgement moment. When the Longclaw fell, I felt the boy got what he deserved. It was a tough judgement, but the right one.

Paul Barry

Strong episode, not as strong as last week, but good. I didn't like the Three-eyed Raven '1,000 years' bit, mostly because I was hoping Bloodraven would send Meera south with Dark Sister. I thought the Meereen scenes were too obvious (Varys with the Harpy) and pointless (Tyrion et al). But thought ToJ was excellent and Wall very strong. I'm not sure they need to make Ramsay even more evil by torturing and killing Osha and Rickon; like...enough, D&D, we hate him already.

DICK JOHNSON

I thought this episode was much better than last week. Cutting the dialogue and letting the actors act made the Jon scenes a LOT stronger and more epic. Some serious foreshadowing with Jon and Edd, asking if Jon is "still in there"... he could very well be a changed person. He kills his brothers with little remorse and storms off forsaking the Watch. Great to see this. Bastard Bowl is definitely a thing as Jon gathers some minor Northern houses vs the Bolton alliance. Clegane bowl really seems like a possibility with Cersei's upcoming trial by combat.

Shaun Au

This episode wasn't as tight as EP2. I like the fact that Arthur Dane got his throat cut out. He was a bad ass, wasn't he? Well, wasn't bad enough to see a dagger coming, lol.

Jason Rattray

This season is off to a great start. The battle at the TOJ was awesome but incomplete. Many guessed that we would find out who Jon's mother was on Mother's Day. Grr. I'm liking Davos more and more. I loved the line where Jon told Davos he failed and Davos said 'good, get out there and fail again.' (or words to that effect). Davos is the quintessential father figure. Unfortunately liking Davos also dooms Davos. Was Jorah fighting Daario in the preview for episode 4? It sure looked like it. If it was, Daario is done for and Jorah will have some 'splainin to do. Daario finding out about the Greyscale would be a good enough reason for Jorah to shank him. We have the "Bastard Bowl" and the "Clegaine Bowl". What will we call the Jorah and Daario matchup?

Alt Shift X

Yeah Bloodraven saying "a thousand years" is weird... I spose he means it in a loose "long ass time" sense... But either way the show doesn't seem to want to link the three-eyed raven with Brynden Rivers, which is probably fair enough.

Alt Shift X

I guess Dayne can't hear shit with that big ole helmet on..

Badass of the Week

I'm loving the new season so much... I was worried the show writers were going to freight train it towards the finish line but they are dedicating lots of valuable screen time to letting the actors act, rather than just explosions and OMG WTF moments. Also I kind of hope Rickon at least got to use his junk at least once before Ramsay eats it or boils it off him or whatever. P.S. is it weird that I thought Lord Umber was rad as hell?

Ileana

Didn't he speak to Theon?

Glandor Hooverstein

Does anyone else have a suspicion that the "wolf head" is just an ordinary dog and Lord Umber is going to betray Ramsay at the last minute? Kind of like Wyman Manderly with the "Davos" head? Maybe I'm just being a bit hopeful...cause man that was horrible!

Ileana

I want to think that too. I refuse to believe the Umbers betrayed the Starks just like that. What about the north remembers??!!! Maybe it's all wishful thinking 😞

Ileana

I know this is nit-picking, but was the woman talking to Varys supposed to speak the common tongue?

Zhu-li Monstergini

It was way to small. it took 3 guys to lift and mount grey wind head on robs body. Umbers are big north men but he wouldn't have been able to toss shaggydog s head so easily.

Michael Towns (gamebuoygames)

Only wanted some Tower of Joy to finally pop up so I was satisfied haha. Lookin' forward to this one my bonglord, planning on chucking up another update a bit before the vid's ready?

Alt Shift X

Yeah I'll post another update when it's nearly ready – vid is approx. 10 hours away (:
