Hi guys, I'm currently working on that special video I mentioned earlier – a crazy-fast pseudo-rap summary of Seasons 1-6 of Game of Thrones. I wanted to get your input on a difficult decision – which voice to use for the "Season 1", "Season 2"... headings between each verse – you'll see what I mean when you watch the previews:

GOT S1-6 "Yolk Version"  – feat. voicing from Yolkboy of Radio Westeros

GOT S1-6 "Thimble Version"  – feat. voicing from a mysterious Thimble

So which version do you prefer – Yolk, or Thimble? Let me know in the comments!

Once this decision is made, and the production completed, the video will be released later this week. I think it'll be a great way to round off the year (:

PS: The Patreon is still paused, and no one will be charged for these next two months. Consider this video a fun bonus (:

Edit: thanks for the feedback, guys! I've decided, in the end, to just remove the season titles entirely – the sound is cleaner and simpler this way, I think

Nikolai Nystrom

I vote for yolkboy, but they're both pretty similar

Franklin S

Thimble, because sound quality.

Matthias Fowler

They do both sound similar, but Thimble sounds clearer I guess. Going with #Thimble2016

Paul Barry

I'm more familiar with Yolkboy's voice, so that's a cool touch.

Eric Humphreys

Honestly do not like either of them :( Its so fast you can't tell its someone else, it just sounds like your voice is distorted and gives the impression of poor audio quality.

Mel

This is a tough choice. But I think I'll go with Thimble. Less echo chamber.

Vineyarddawg

I like the Yolk version. Little bit more baritone, which I like.

Andrey

My latinamerican ears can't tell the difference, I like them both :)

Joshua Przygocki

I suppose I like Thimble better but neither of them sounds particularly great. The quality sounds quite different and stands out starkly much too much.

Linsel Greene

Thimble. Is it too late to add some more rhythmic instrumental components to your "poetry"?

Fawzan Khan

Thimble but maybe leave out the season title

52Frames

I think Thimble sounds more "rhymey" but I'm embarassed to say I can't really tell the difference!

DrNutella

i might be stupid but i didn't notice the 2 videos are different

Alt Shift X

Yeah, I might remove the titles entirely.. Simpler + cleaner + maintains the momentum..

Alt Shift X

At this stage I don't want to overcomplicate things, but yeah it could totally benefit from some kinda music or beat.. maybe in future

Ian Sigmund

Agree with this. All other videos brilliant though.

Daniel Johnson

The way it's demoed out here it just kind of sounds jarring to switch voices, especially since the tone of the voices is so similar to your speaking voice. I'd either keep it your voice throughout or possible hire a female or someone with a more contrasting voice.

Andrew Garttmeyer

Yea, the two links seem to be the same audio to me, I dunno.

Andrew Garttmeyer

Yea, the two links seem to be the same audio to me, I dunno.

Bryan A. Castillo

They do sound incredibly alike. And I agree that it does just sound like you recorded the season heading separately with bad audio, so it makes the video a little less "polished". Love your work! This preview is AWESOME! You rock!

Mazzy

I feel like they sound off, disrupt the flow... how about your regular voice?

Kristine Kippins

I prefer Thimble between the two, but I agree with everyone else--your own voice would be better. If you'd rather have someone else intro the seasons, maybe choose someone who doesn't sound so similar to you. Maybe a woman? Cheers! Looking forward to watching.

Kristine Kippins

Ha! Didn't see your instruction in the comments. :-) #Thimble2016

Bill Tng

Would you do some more HBO Westworld series?

Kate Hunter

A woman can't tell the difference.

Rebecca N.

I like Thimble better, but it may be because the audio track is fitting in more nicely. The Yolk version has worse sound quality and a slight echo. Anyway if the quality was equal I would probably still go for Thimble since his voice differs more from yours.

Mitchell Flagg

I vote Yolk, despite the sound quality stuff - his voice is a better contrast with yours IMO, which is a bigger deal than I thought it would be on repeated plays. Plus his cadence and such is a bit faster/more rhythmic, which fits better with the overall concept and feel of the fast-paced pseudo-rap vids.

Gung

Yolkboy!

Min Sedai

I vote for Yolkboy!

Jonathan Melenson

Thimble. But it might be because of the echo on Yolk.
