Mini-Demo - Relative Ship Control (Patreon)

Prompted by a Discord member, I thought it would be fun to think about clipping bits of video as mini-demos of the features we're working on as they get completed. This was pretty easy and fun to do, so look forward to some more of these!

In this one, I show a control scheme intended just for playing on controller and steering with the stick. By mapping the stick to an expression of the player's intent to go a different direction or thrust, we can write code which steers the ship for the player.
