All 3 are good choices, Gravity Falls was run by the voice actor for King and Hooty and is only 2 seasons so it goes quickly. Also the creator for the Owl House was a story boarder for Gravity Falls.

In the brief history presentation we were shown about the Brothers on the cart ride in this episode, it was shown for just a moment that the witch Evalyn, who lured Caleb away hundreds(?) of years ago, had *FLAPJACK* as a Palisman all those years ago! Explaining why Belos shouted “Caleb!” at the end of season 2 when he saw Hunter using it, and why Belos said “goodbye, Evalyn” when wounding Flapjack. And I’m not sure if you recall, but Eda’s palisman-carving father had a *yellow* sparrow Palisman.

After seeing this episode for the first time, I was so mad at Disney. That single episode could have been a full season. So much stuff the creators needed to rush through and only give us glimpses of. Don't get me wrong, it still is e phenomenal episode. But it could have bean even better. We could have had an entire episode for Luz and Amity going on a date!

I’d recommend Gravity Falls first only has 2 seasons, then Steven Universe 5 seasons and Adventure Time 10 seasons BUT which ever you guys decide to do first I’m happy with regardless 🦉💙

When I originally watched this episode, I had also watched the first episode of Chainsaw Man at the same time. So I couldn't help but see parrelles between Flapjack's sacrifice for Hunter and Pochita's sacrifice for Denji. Then I thought "Imagine this turns Hunter into a Cardinal-man hybrid? Oh wait a minute, that'd just be Hawks from MHA especially since they share a VA."

Seeing Hunter break down in tears after finally processing that for the first time in his life, he is surrounded by people who actually care about him really hits hard, as well as when Camila sees Luz’s video diary and we learn where her hyper fixation with Azura originates. Throughout the episodes we get so many examples for why Camila is one of the best animated moms ever.

One of the best aspects of this show has been seeing Luz’s journey as a protagonist. From the very beginning she wanted to be a hero just like Azura, but while she had many noble qualities (such as her kindness and bold courageous nature), she still needed to mature and grow as a person. It was a joy seeing her learn from her mistakes and develop into a capable witch, but it was when she stopped trying to be the hero in her own fantasy world, and focused on helping her Boiling Isles friends and family out of a genuine love and desire to protect them, that she truly became one of the greatest protagonists I’ve ever seen.

The Force

Season 3 here we go! Fun tidbit I learned (second from another internet dweller so pinch of salt reminder): The opening for this episode each "scene" was supposed to be it's own full episode of the kids in the Human Realm with one *maybe* two more seasons for the return to the Demon Realm and everything that happens after. All the Owl House we were robbed of *shakes fist* DISNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY

Camilla is such a good mum, in the scene before her nightmare you can see a bunch of books and papers scattered around. A bunch of the papers are coupons to help out with the new mouths to feed, and the books are lgbtq+ guides and monster/animal dietary books. The amount of work and effort to not just help, but understand her kids is so heartwarming.

What little we got of Vee was an absolute delight, the biggest loss we suffered from Disney shortening season three from twenty episodes to a trio of specials was denying this sweet basilisk angel more screen time.

It is unfortunate that Disney chose to shorten and then cancel season 3. No reason was ever given and Disney's track record of cutting out thing like LGBT and minorities in foreign versions has made people suspect the awesome representation the owl house had is why. It was doing really well in engagement and views too. I don't want to believe that's why but it unfortunately fits a pattern Disney has. Like back when som of star wars' actors talked about how they were asking for more gay representation since Finn an Po had the perfect chemistry for it and even jj was supposedly fighting for it, but they still got shot down by executives.

You can piece together what really happened in the story of the Whittebane Brothers if you look at the portraits in the background of the episode “Hollow Mind”. Or you can watch a YouTube video that explains it. Either way is fine.

God I cried so hard because of this episode, even more than the season 2 finale. Flapjack’s death broke me, and Hunter scared the crap out of me. I thought for a second he was a goner and then they went and made it worse. 🥲
