The way I see it at least Boa spent all that time hiding the trauma and having no one to really trust save for her sisters. Even then that would be reserved as not to cause them to remember their own trauma. Now here is luffy someone she can trust again and everything is spilling out. About Hancock falling for Luffy, I think it's a bit sad if you think that she basically fell for the first person, not even the first man, who genuinely treated her like normal and didn't objectify her.

in thriller bark Luffy didnt know he was captured by navy, just that he was in tough spot, for all he knew he might have been in a tough fight against the navy or another pirate and in that case he wouldnt appreciate Luffy running to him to help....but its different know that Luffy knows he is about to be executed

The reason Why Hancock is so deeply I. Love with Luffy isnt Just because he’s a good man; it’s because of his Free spirit that shows every time he speaks or acts. Luffy isn’t one to “Demand” anything. He may give orders to his crew in times of need, but most of the time, he just Asks/makes requests. hancock’s hatred of men comes from her bast with the celestial dragons and their obsession on doing whatever the hell they want, not caring about who they step on. This gives hancock her reasons to want power/control over herself and her people, she HATES people why try to control her; but Luffy isn’t a controlling person; he gave Hancock a Choice/options; he’s requesting something of her while also letting her keep control. THAT, is why Hancock loves Luffy so much. He doesn’t judge with I’ll intentions, nor does he seek control. That is what Hancock hates about most, if not all men.

Two things: First, Luffy is getting beat within an inch of his life pretty much every arc. “Ace has his own adventures” means it’s similar for him. If Luffy dropped everything and made a beeline for Ace every time that Vivre card started burning down, he’d be going in circles for the entirety of the anime. They are out at sea putting their lives on the line, which means sometimes you almost die. You can’t worry about it every time. Second, did you just make a whip noise at Hancock after her traumatic backstory about being a slave 😔😔😔
