Ghosts. Not a spoiler, Manga reader here I was super surprised that they ended the core/season where they did, I was expecting the cliffhanger to be on the train to Jiji's house or even before the anatomy dummy showed up last episode.

Agree, that's a terrible cliffhanger to leave a season cour on! I understand creating intrigue but even cours usually have some semblance of a cap-off to an arc plus a teaser.. at least we won't have to wait a full year I guess

Thank god im a manga reader lol insane cliffhanger wthell. I'm glad though they are really taking time and adapting pretty much everything, instead of rushing arcs to fit into 12 episodes.

Personally, I hate when shows have their seasons split, so for them to lie about it until now pissed me off, but I loved this show overall. And honestly the cliffhanger made me pick up the manga to keep reading so I guess it was good in some way

as uncomfortable as that bath scene makes me, at least they're showing that people who creep on girls in the bath are scary and awful, instead of making jokes about the boys trying to peek at her like so many other anime series.

the show and the manga are strange in a lot of ways, it has these super uncomfortable scenes and themes, while having this super childish veneer, but i will say that it never feels like the author is a degenerate writing his own shitty fantasies into the story like it was for Made in Abyss, but it dose still feel weird regardless, with western sensibilities while watching something catered to a Japanese audience, lowkey got some feelings towards anime because of how many times ive enjoyed a show, only to then try and put a mental block on bad scenes that crop up, every time i recommend this show i gotta give the whole speech of "let them cook, it aint that bad, trust"

When they are young, boys are told that girls will go for a guy who make them laugh. Jiji is making Momo laugh constantly and was her first love. Okarun has an uphill battle when trying to compete against him, from what he knows. In any other story, Momo would be head over heels for Jiji since he connects to her more easily and has the strong male habits she has shown interest in. She only seems to like Okarun because he has the same name as an actor she likes, that's the only thing that sets him apart from Jiji. If the mangaka hadn't set them up before hand, Okarun would've been moved to good friend status with Momo and would end the story dating or engaged to Aira, the girl who is attracted to his kindness.
