I’ll be honest, I was ready for you to tear into Brook for being so f-king stupid to tell Bib Mom that he was making a copy of the stone. He literally told her his plan, why do that? Also, anybody else frustrated by how naive the Straw Hats are? They arrive in the emperors sea, meet a daughter and just think “ah yes, this girl who is the daughter of an enemy, on this sea of theirs, is really going to be on our side” and just never question anything. Oda can right greatness but honestly he makes the SH look like a bunch of children.

Whole Cake is so good man Not only did Oda decide to give us a major character arc for a straw hat member after 800 episodes, deep into post timeskip, its also argueably among the best stories. The depth it gives Sanji as a character made him my favorite strawhat.

What messes me up the most is Sanji truly saw Pudding as his salvation. Even with an arranged marriage he doesnt want, even with having to deal with his family again, he was willing to put up with it all bc he saw Pudding as the one good thing to come out of the whole situation. Now he finds out even that was all a false hope and that there is no good for him to cling onto from this whole thing.

I don't hate pudding anymore,I really did throughout the arc but rewatching I kinda love how toxic she is. Her VA absolutely went off, it was honestly endearing. After I stopped hating her I was kinda neutral towards her character but after rewatching this ep I actually enjoy her alot

I'm of the opnion that if your constantly second guessing if pudding is ligit or not (i.e having to wrestle with trusting her or not) then she, and by extention the writers, did their jobs right in making a character that is hard to read.

This scene made me believe that cigarettes should be put back in movies. The symbolism was so good. Oda is so good at story telling the characters just doesn't have a nose bleed or smoke for a joke or to look cool. It can be used to enhance story.
