If you want to see a version of Pietro Maximoff AKA Quicksilver that actually survives their movie, check out the 2010's X-Men movies as he has some REALLY good moments in "X-Men: Days of Future's Past" and "X-Men: Apocalypse"

What I love about Ultron is that he is VERY human... He legit feels like the son of Tony Stark who made it his whole identity to tear everything his father is... His mannerism too creeped me out personally as it was familiar. I mean I act the SAME exact way when I can't find an obvious word like when he was talking to the twins XD I guess the writer and/or actor modeled his demeanor on a pattern observed in ppl! Overall it is a cool unconventional take on an AI villain. Usually it is the cold calculating kind devoid of all emotions. Ultron however is made in the image of humans. He is logical on the surface but clearly drifting towards irrationality due to unresolved personal emotions. Like teen angst. What i would say is that I just wanted MORE of ultron and a bit more of a buildup to him Feels like he should have been a longer lasting char.

Something they don't explicitly point out in the movie is that this version of Ultron was based on HYDRA code as much as Tony & Bruce's contributions. They probably would've built it up from scratch if it weren't for the time limit of only having the staff (Mind Stone) for a couple days. They make the audience doubt Tony for a bit because we're getting Wanda & Pietro's perspective. Vision is closer to a true representation of Tony's ideals.

Non spoiler history for the time period this came out Mutants were a no go word becuase fox had the rights to the xmen series and at the time those movies were doing good numbers in the box office. How did fox have the rights to one of the most popular marvel franchises? Well marvel filed for chapter 11 in the 90s and sold off spiderman, fantastic 4, xmen, etc. As of this moment the only property that marvel dosent own 100% of is spiderman they share those movies with Sony. In a perfect world Wanda and Pietro would be introduced in an xmen movie since that's were there origin is. The reason Pietro died I imagine has a lot to do with the fact that fox was also using him in the xmen movies. They were trying to get the phrase Inhuman to stick they called the maximoff this a couple of times and the idea was to take a team that wasn't as popular and try to make it more popular and lump the maximoff in with them but this was scrapped when the TV show failed

My absolute favorite part of this film was the amazing bait and switch with Hawkeye and Quicksilver. The whole runtime, Clint is throwing death flags left and right, between the conversations with the team, the reveal of his family and everything else. He's set up to die so hard, and then having the gut punch of Pietro saving him and dying instead.... really really works for me. A lot of people dislike this movie for whatever reason, but I don't.

very bad overall take on ultron ultimately tbh, ultron is historically a creation of hank pym/ ant man nothing to do with iron man or hulk. so to make him a half baked imprint of tony who makes quips is really a bad take for a heavy hitter marvel villian whos all abut cleansing all life in favor of himself

This movie is one of my favorites, despite being a very messy example of storytelling. Even a lot of the visuals have a sort of messy quality. Then again, all of that messiness is beautiful in its own overwhelming way. It's almost like a TV series cobbled together into one plot, one movie. And of course, the introduction of Wanda and her story seals it for me. Keep an eye on that storyline.

So quick note the reason quicksilver does in this movie even though he's always with his sister in the comics is because at the time of the movies release fox's X-Men also had quicksilver and so the MCU decided to kill him off in the first appearance.

I thought I had nothing to add, but here's something: The reason Cap and Hawkeye are the most sympathetic to Pietro and Wanda and sort of act as their mentors, is that in the comics, at one point, the Avengers are literally just the 4 of them. They were known as Cap's Kooky Quartet.

the infinity stones do different stuff, the purple one in guardians of the galaxy was the "power" stone which is why it was so dangerous to touch. the collector mentioned the names of all of them, power, time, space, reality, mind, and soul

Fun fact it was a deleted scene but when captain America was gonna go after Ultron there was a graffiti of him with the mask that said fascist and so he threw it away (I think it was age of Ultron unless it was civil war idk)

Just wanna quickly say about hawkeye which has most likely already been said, is that he is probably one of the most important members of the avengers. The reason for this that I at least see is that its because unlike the rest of the avengers, he's just a guy with a bow an arrow unlike his teammates who unlike him are a super soldier, a guy with one of the most powerful suits of armor in the world, an assassin that was trained from childhood, a man who can turn into a near impervious monster, and a literal GOD. It's because of how normal he is that basically lets the rest of the team remember that they should hold back for the sake of the people since if they don't, he could have been the first real casualty in their missions. But thats how I interpret it anyway.

They didn't just make a Hawkeye movie, they made a Hawkeye TV series. Honestly? It is pretty damn good. Some parts drag here and there but it has some amazing action, comedy, and drama moments. WARNING for everyone. Do not attempt to watch it until you have finished the last Avengers Movie to date.

10 years later and I still can't forgive them for giving me Quicksilver and immediatly taking him away T.T Damn you, Kevin Feige XD Can't say much because it spoils XMen, but both Pietro and Wanda are at the core of one of my favorite storylines in the comics, so you can imagine how excited I was when they showed up in the credits of Winter Soldier :D

Ultron is one of the most interesting villains in the MCU, he's not inherently evil, he's an AI that is super misguided by realizing that humanity is it's own biggest enemy from all the shit we did in the past and present and that is extremely interesting, personally the way he acts, talks etc. makes him an extremely interesting character and I love that :)

IDK if you're going to watch the mini series, but in WandaVision a joke is make by Darci that "you mean she could have one-v-one'd Thanos?" I believe that was the MCU's apology for nerfing her so much

It's weird that you say you main Scarlet Witch in Marvel Rivals, but you've never heard the interactions between Scarlet Witch and her father, Magneto? I find that hard to believe considering how often they're played together due to their team-up. Her brother's name is Quicksilver (Pietro). In the comics, Quicksilver is still alive. I'm not sure why they decided to kill him off in the MCU. It's also been revealed that Wanda and Pietro weren't mutants at all, but rather enhanced humans that Magneto "adopted" and used as child soldiers.

So Pietro did die for a reason. Things regarding Pietro and Wanda at the time that this movie was made were a bit complicated, moreso for Pietro than for Wanda. At the time, the movie rights for various Marvel franchises were a bit spread out. Disney owned most of them, but at the time, Sony owned the movie rights to Spiderman, while Fox had the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. Not only that, but Fox was still running a series of X-Men movies. When they were originally created, Pietro and Wanda were the children of Erik Maximov, a survivor of a WWII Concentration Camp, and a staunch mutant supremacist. He was also known as Magneto, a prominent antagonist within the X-Men franchise. As such, Pietro and Wanda were originally mutants who fell under the X-Men banner, with the names Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, respectively. However, it was later revealed that Magneto wasn't actually their father, and they weren't actually mutants, they were artificially empowered. This opened them up to a bit of a gray area when it came to theatrical rights. Since they were originally mutants, Fox could use them, but because they were also no longer mutants within the Marvel canon itself, Disney was able to lay claim to them as well. Apparently, Fox and Disney came to an agreement. They could each use the characters, but Fox would make no mentions of the Avengers or other Disney-managed characters or entities, and Disney wouldn't refer to mutants, Magneto, or use their alternate identities. Things get a bit more complicated for Pietro, because his character was already being prominently used within the X-Men movies at this time, but Wanda's was not. It seems that Disney made the decision to kill off their version of Pietro, just to avoid any complications and comparisons to Fox's version. Of course, this was made moot when Disney acquired 20th Century Fox a few years later, which brought the X-Men and Fantastic Four into their fold. At the time though, it probably just made the most sense to minimize the potential for issues over the twins, because as far as I can recall, Fox never made any attempt to introduce Scarlet Witch, themselves, likely due to talks with Disney.
