Hey there patrons!

A STRONG reminder. Please do not message me. Messaging me is only for ultimate tier to redeem the episode they want to.

Questions can be asked to me publicly in the discord. Anything you want to say to me should be appropriate enough to do publicly. I know some of you want to send a nice message but I have a strict rule about not replying to people.

For ultimate tier members if I didn’t get your redeemed confirmed for this month and you sent it. Please send it again. My inbox is too flooded. Thank you!

We understand and hope you're having a good day so far. Also Hope you've been enjoying the Whole Cake Island arc, one of my favorites

It's silly this needs to be said again but some people just don't understand boundaries.

ColdButCozy

People, if you want to send a nice message to Alicia, then use the dear-alicia channel on the discord Edit: now excuse me while i try to resist the temptation to write “you got it boss” in her dms

Solaris Fang

Oh were we suppose to? I never bothered. Just me and the boys at 3am LOOKIN FOR BEANZ. What do you mean rat pack? CHEESE! Now don’t be ridiculious.

Allen

Understood, also hope everyone's day is good 👍

With all due respect, free of snark, I think you (Alicia) need to address this with the Patreon platform -instead of- *in addition to your Patreon community. Explain to them that you choose to be at zero "trust and safety" with your community and want to modify overarching terms. What do I mean? Creators do not have to read or respond to DMs but Patreon grants any paid user the privilege of sending creators a DM. It's a core "perk" offered by the platform. Being nervous to post this comment, I would like to emphasize my point is it may be worth asking Patreon (as a platform) to modify their TOS.

Got it Boss ma'am. Lovin the content. Hopefully you ain't stressin to hard.

Question: I'm just a pleb on patreon so, I don't fully understand how the higher tiers work, but is there any practical reason why redeems are done through DMs? Wouldn't a locked channel on Discord (similar to the patron-only channel) or even replying to a post here on patreon (since I saw that I'm not able to comment under a post I don't have access to) work better for you? That way you can strictly forbid DMs and manage redeems either in Discord or here directly. I'm just offering some ideas, there might be a reason that I'm not seeing...

Dr. Names

This also means don't message her friends to get to her! Respect everyone's privacy and enjoy the content produced

When someone new joins your membership, the new user is given an opportunity by Patreon to share why they joined the channel. They can select one of the provided choices and/or fill out a text field. Doing so is optional, but considering how quick and easy the prompt is, I assume a decent number of new people fill it out. Perhaps this information is then sent to the channel owner as a message? When I joined the channel this week, I selected an option and filled out the text field. I assumed my response went to Patreon or could be accessed by the channel owner in an efficient manner, but after reading your post, I'm feeling less certain. If my response was sent to your inbox as a message, I apologize for the inconvenience. In the event that this info is being sent to your inbox, perhaps there's a way to disable the feature going forward? It wouldn't solve your issue completely, but it might help.

The Force

Oop, sent a question but straight up didn't know this was a rule (had never seen it) my bad!

JP RN

Does this include duck picks?

Nick Lopez

I had no idea there was a rule against messaging. However I never had an inclination in the first place. Sure I'd love for you to check out several shows/movies that I think you'd either enjoy or ones that I've liked that i recommend, but I know that everyone wants that, that's what the polls are for

Lotus Gramarye

hey I'm a relative rando that just happens to have been prescribed to u for a while but if on any off chance u read this just know that you do an amazing job and you owe absolutely no one anything (except maybe Rich but that's for you and he to decide on your own terms) to everyone else I'm very drunk but I hope everone is \*-+

Randomocity732

You dont want us asking questions outside of the recommended channels?????????????????????????????????????????(Sarcasm implied with the multiple ??????????????????????????????????????????)

Trystan Waller

I’m just wondering how to even join the discord, cause I don’t see a link anywhere

Ben Yokes

Are you gonna react to the Deadpool movies? I understand not doing X-Men and other marvel stuff but Deadpool is in the MCU now so it would be cool if you reacted to his movies too

I already knew that rule and have been following it but I understand new fans might not know it. Also, to anyone that for some reason don't like the rule or doesn't understand why it exists let me break it down. 1. It stops people from harassing Alicia, you may ask why not just ignore her DMs but understand she still wants to use that feature with her actual friends (sorry not sorry, fans, including myself aren't her actual friends) and potential business partners, sponsors and Collabs. This is mainly a Discord rule but she needs to be fair and extend it to all platforms including Patreon. 2. It also protects her fans and her from slander. No one can lie and say "Alicia groomed me when I was under aged" then claim Alicia deleted the messages or other such things as she doesn't talk to ANY fans privately. 3. It's not just a rule for her. On her Discord no member is allowed to DM another. This is to stop things like harassment, grooming and gaslighting. But she needs to lead by example. The truth of the matter is that creator community and especially Discord have had many such cases in the past. Anything said between any members of her community and herself is fully public and thus any harassment, bullying, gaslighting or potential grooming can be spotted easily and put down promptly. It's not that hard to understand, please just follow the rules. If you didn't know them before and sent innocent messages, no harm done but you do know the rules now.

MaxRenRez

Yeah, I'll be honest, I'm guilty of that one from way back when. To be fair, I didn't know about the rule at first because I don't usually check the highest tiers. But knowing what people sometimes send creators... I don't blame ya.

Mr. Ewok

I tried going onto the discord, but the invite isn't working

Easy Mode - A.I

do yourself a favor n just post this weekly

Joey Cat

I made a mistake and did this I think at the beginning of last year, still sorry about that Queen

QcNumber1

I don't get why so many people don't understand that simple rule. like it's common sense.
