So the new lore: in the videos of simon you can see an airplane in the back, followed by a cloud and then the winter It is an airplane delivering a nuke bomb and the nuclear winter that follows it. Then we have simon walking the wasteland and finding child marceline, the demon child, and givingnher a monkey plush, which from other episodes we know is called Hambo, which Ash, her exbf, traded withna witch for a wand since the plush has "amazing emotional power"

There's a theory that Jake is Jay T. Doggzone, with the latter likely having been his pen name. It could be that its advice he thought was good but now denounces. It would explain why he still has that book and why his explanation to Finn was so confusing. Plus, "Jake The Dog", "Jay T. Doggzone".

The fandom for Steven Universe can be rough, but the reason people recommend it (one of them) is that the series is written/directed by Rebecca Sugar, the writer responsible for some of Adventure Times big emotional hits, including the Simon & Marcy episode.
