Sagrel

Very good movie. Now you have to watch it's counterpart... ANTZ !

Ozone279

oh shit, hot drop on a childhood movie!

Lunar_Gems

alicia 2 movies in 1 day u spoil us

King of flames

I remember the Pixar theory where this is one of the movies set farthest into the future. I think only Monster's Inc is set further in the future. Maybe Alicia should react to Super Carlin Brother's Pixar timeline video?

Adam

Ooo! Has Fax seen Atlantis? Watch that with him!

Lance Ivy

it cdawg but skinny and upsidedown

Aspy130

Ah yes this classic that surely doesn't have any relevant themes to right now lmao, also KUNG FU PANDA 2 plz it's really good

Kuro

We need Treasure Planet if we're going through some Disney!!!

Easy Mode - A.I

oh man THIS fucking movie. its been ages n I just saw my oshi play the ps1 game that filtered me as a kid.

Jaffar Black Fang

Another great animated movie to check out is Book of Life Its so good

mitchhamilton64

its a shame that for me this movie is forever ruined by the fact that hopper is played by kevin spacey

Joey245

Oh man, one of my favorites! :D

Kaz

...What do you mean he was not alive in 1998?

Kay

I have a long standing fear of grasshoppers because of this movie. Like fr. Im terrified of them. But I'm glad everyone else likes the movie 🥲

N00B

Hopper's speech about "those tiny ants outnumber us 100 to 1." is painfully relevant considering the United Healthcare situation and especially how unanumously people stood against the company after the fact.

Rowdeemunkee

WELL this movie hits different in our current political climate.

Jay

This is a happy surprise this was my favorite movie as a kid. I had it on VHS

Elias Cristerna

AH... 1998 the year I came into the world

Julian

I myself, born in 91, also DID NOT know the “D” in Disney was the letter “d” for the LONGEST time lol. I too thought it was a weird, backwards G with a line or something.

Jaffar Black Fang

"Hey I'm a compassionate insect" Kevin Spacey said lol....

Hynkka

Oh damn! A surprise visit to my childhood. Don't think I've seen this in close to 20 years...

Moviejunkie

You should check out Antz. Grossly underrated.

Eliteguard99

The older I get, the more real of a villain Hopper is. When I was a kid I thought he was pretty boring, but now as an adult I think he’s probably a top tier Pixar villain.

Okoga

Probably the most topical movie you could watch right now.

Yagi di Hoshi

my first Pixar theater experience that i can remember

Jon C

I watched this all the time as a kid, really hold up.

John Norvilas

I find it funny that this film is a remake of "Battle Beyond the Stars" '80 which is a remake of " The Magnificent Seven" '60 which a remake of "Seven Samurai" '54.

Samuel Brewer

I believe that Hopper is one of the best written villain in film and I also miss the blooper reels that they used to do as well. They were so much fun.

Spicy Noodles

Ahh Yes my favorite Class Consciousness children's movie. EAT THE RIC- I MEAN GRASSHOPPERS!!! 🙂‍↕️

Daisy Azuras

I could have sworn there were a lot more bloopers in the credits.

Dovak159 _

Please tell me Tarzan is on the list to watch at some point. I need to relive my childhood vhs tape days

Raskilion

I was born 6 years after this movie, it's one of my favourite childhood movies

Gamer Kane

Blooper reels were so much better than after credits scenes, I'd much rather have more of the current film I'm watching than a teaser for the next that I may not even care about.

Dale Cooper

When I was a kid I remember this and Antz coming out then being so confused which one was which. Never had Antz on VHS, but did eventually get this one.

Jyler Tones

I also loved playing the game! Was a good mixture of difficulty.

Kevin

Ah, yes the Ant movie i always confuse for the other Ant movie, Antz

Chanfyr

I agree with everyone talking about relevance but I'm just here to point out i didn't expect 1:11:47 in Pixar

MrDudePerson

Fun fact: IRL locusts are actually just common grasshoppers that have mutated due to extreme hunger. That one crazyass grasshopper that keeps terrorizing Dot may be a locust!

Spacefrog

I love hopper, Kevin Spacey really knows how to play the calm but scary villain, the scene in the bar is still on of my favorite villain speeches ever

Andrew

Yo, the Bug's Life game was fire! It and the Toy Story 2 game were the shit.

LegalPiranha

now she gotta watch the other ant movie complete the circle

Douglas Harker

I redownloaded the game about a year ago on my phone through an emulator just to play it again. Loved the game and still do.

Cameron Meow

This is definitely a movie about society! But low-key why they have to make the spider a baddie 👀

One G. O A. T. One Dream

and the game is freaking amazing to! played that game so much on my old ps1 they were so creative with the level designs.

StorytellerDave

It's a good movie, but Antz was the better of the two imo. Still find it really weird that two bug movies came out 6 months from each other completely by happenstance.

Jason Ramey

If you guys are going down an older movie trend, I would greatly enjoy watching you react to the old Mel Brooks films. Blazing Saddles, Men in Tights, Young Frankenstein, etc. They are absolute icons of classic comedy. Slight disclaimer, Saddles is a parody that overtly makes fun of racists and racism, so it's not exactly politically correct by modern standards. Come to think of it, there's also spaceballs which is a star wars parody, so you've recently acquired the context for that one.

Moviejunkie

Wall-E is my favorite Pixar movie.

Vegvisir92

Dim is the mvp, best boy...also i never thought about PT's flame attack against the bird....thats basically a single soldier charging against a tank

Rain

You know, being one of the younger people in Alicia's audience its crazy that she mentioned not watching this movie in the last 22 years, and that's older than I am, but I also remember watching this movie on vhs. We might still have a copy of it, but its probably in a box somewhere.
