I last watched this show a long time ago, so I actually completely forgot how underhanded Karen was in getting him to come to that nursing home in the first place! Absolutely fair to blame her for what happened, even if her heart was in the right place and all. It kinda fits with the whole "do the ends justify the means" theme the show has had going on for a while. Even after she heard about Ben's situation and who he'd be leaving behind, she still went and did what she did, because something inside her just hated Fisk that much more and would readily sacrifice anything for a chance at it. This is like the second time a guy called Ben ended up dying as part of their student/protege's development :(

Karen actually straight up gets Ben killed, tough to give her any leeway when she 100% knew exactly why Ben wanted out. It's just shitty. She could have even gone by herself and told Ben afterwards, but no....had to bring him so he could get killed.

Daredevils writing is superb and I understand why she didn't say anything to Ben but realistically she could have said two guys attacked her asking about his mom and she was able to get away with pepper spray or something. She didn't think of that because she's scared and plenty of people do that but yeah. Not a huge nitpick but something I thought of.

Karen’s decision to involve Ben is understandable and well intentioned, but the execution was completely underhanded. She might not be 100% to blame, but she 100% has a considerable share of the blame.

This reminded me of the first scene with Ben. He was praised for being the only one to not bring the family into the news stories he wrote. Karen made Ben break one of his core principles and it ended up costing him.
