Thematically, Orochi isn’t the first character in the series that was unjustly persecuted for something his relative did, as the same thing happened to Ace and Rebecca. The big difference is for all the pain and hardships they endured, Ace and Rebecca still remained relatively good people. So while I agree that what the people of Wano did to him and his family was wrong and I understand his perspective, I still feel justified in hating him.

Here's the thing.... Orochi becoming a scumbag is the result of the trauma of his own country hunting down his entire family just for the crime one of them did, and also because of these 2 crazy old guys brainwashing him into thinking that the Kozuki Clan is to blame for his misfortune. I believe that if Yasuie had found Orochi before this 2 shitheads... Orochi would've had a decent chance of becoming a much better person that he turned out to be. and i say chance and not "definitely" because the trauma of your whole family being killed unjustly for the crime of his Grandfather would've still left a ton of resentment in his Heart even as he was (theoretically) being raised by Yasuie.

I honestly think Orochi is a villain written well for what he's supposed to be. His backstory doesn't change my views of him. I think he is used to go and show how when a person who was morally wronged chooses to go for the path of vengeance can quickly fall down a path of complete and utter cruelty. Orochi is a character of naked and rank hypocrisy and contradictions. He hates the Kozuki for how they've chased and killed of his family, but will enact slower and more tortuous cruelties to the entire land of Wano as a means of 'getting back at "them"'. Feeds Smile Fruits to the poor because he hated there moans, feeds them to Killer just because he is a pirate enemy and gains enjoyment from this. I also think he is written to be at the same-time weak and powerful. Of course I don't mean that I think any of the fighters of this -verse are scared of him, but I can imagine myself in the pleasure-hall were Orochi goes berserk. In that moment he can enact terror, but it shows just have weak and cowardly he is. This man is fraught with paralyzing fear from the ghosts of the Red Scabbards. He knows his time will come and the only thing that drives him is to achieve as much depravity until his head rolls. I think if you take out scope, Orochi even above Doflamingo revels in sick malicious enjoyment bringing pain and fear unto others. Doflamingo wants power and doesn't care who or what he has to do to achieve his Godly status once again, people're just Chess pieces... Orochi knows his title is fraudulent and there are many whom can take his title, Orochi himself not actually powerful enough to truly stop them. So he beats, starves, murders, imprisons and even worse things to the people of Wano because all he has is time. Time, because that dark hole filled with rancor that is his heart can and will know no peace.

Oden has one of the coolest and best resume out there. having the privilege of sailing with the strongest Emperor of The Seas and then sailing with the eventual King of The Pirates!! WHO FOUND THE ONE PIECE! Those are life stories i would enjoy to tell for the rest of my life

Orochi will always be a piece of shhit, but I think its worth mentioning that manipulation anf abuse absolutely can be seen as the "savior and Jesus moment" for people depending on the personality and the specific kind of manipulation. This doesn't justify him sticking with Oni-woman's original plans over Yasuie's genuine kindness, but arguably, to Orochi, he had already been saved, and this man, faithful to the Kozuki clan, was trying to "manipulate" him with his behavior. Its about perspective. Again, for everyone listening, Orochi is a garbage person because has consistently shown to choose to do harm and act petty even after becoming legitimately powerful (tho that in itself is arguable since he only actually got that power with Kaidou's help and if he ever went against Kaidou he'd prolly have been killed... which leads to me conclusion that as awful and evil Orochi is... he's mostly pathetic. he's the pathetic abused kid since this episode here and he's always being used and manipulated by others... again, doesn't justify any of the awful shit he's done. I think it's a genuine stroke of writing genius from Oda to depict the cycle of abuse in this manner tbh), *however* its entirely understandable why he's acted the way he has. Its strong character writng and I'm mostly mentioning it for the fact that, in the real world, its always worth considering this, and if a person's being like this and they're not causing actual harm to you, its honestly always worth showing some amount of compassion. Yes, even if they're not a child. You never know when that consideracy is gonna tick in the person's head and help lead them to fixing their shit. Literally every awful broken person even is like that because of outside factors (usually as a child) and if ur can do that its worth it, even if ur not necessarily the one that sees results. I just... think if people who've been shitty to me, who've I've done the same with, and seen how, over time, with that and others kindness' how they've genuinely improved and become good people. Its just something a lot of people don't consider. And if u personally can't do it, that's fine. Just don't allow urself around that person. Or if they're someone close to you, cut them off as much as possible. But at the end of the day, shitty behavior never should necessitate further shitty behavior. There is no pettiness in this world that is truly justified.

After hearing again about Teech not sleeping it made me think of something. Wonder if he has some kind of split personality thing going. Haven't really seen anything else to support it but it makes me think of Cavendish and characters from other shows where while one personality is asleep the other is awake. It could also explain him being able to have 2 devil fruits, like there are 2 people within that body so each one could have a power.

About Blackbeard not sleeping, there is a theory that he might have eaten the "mythical dog dog fruit, version Cerberus". Especially with how, he is often referred to as "a dog", he has 3 skulls on his sails, he doesn't sleep (like a good guard dog should) and has multiple devil fruits (with 1 slot remaining, probably saved for Luffy's fruit, who knows)
