You're gonna love this show

rainyfriday

Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for this!!!

Kawaii Edgelord

Oh my god, i just got to work I'm crying and I'm so excited to get home, first day back from vacation and I've never been happier! Thanks Alicia!

Charlie baker

Oh classic, if you like the songs and emotional beats in the first few seasons of adventure time then youll like steven universe. Its creator was a notable writer and song writer who worked on adventure time, rebecca sugar. She did some work on later emotional at episodes even after creating su

Cappy_cap_777

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

ROSÈ ASAKURA

Yea we are never getting gumball back i fear

Manny_Manatee

Omg I’m so excited! I already know all the moments that’s gonna have her so emotional 😂

Mune_Lite

YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!

TSP247

I love that your watching this show. This is my favorite show and wished it continued or it gets a reboot in later years.

DC ninja

I'm so excited I hope you do all the season

Joseline

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

LordTouchMe

Yay! This, Amphibia, and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic are the big remaining western cartoons I want you to see, so this is good~

MadMax 1513

i've been waiting for overlord or black clover for years now, does anybody know anything about those?

Limeanade

oh yall are gonna get adventure time in yearly installments huh?

BartonBelladonna

jesus Christ, Alicia how many shows can you do all at once?! girl, are you insane?! XD

mewtwotwo2222

Peak finally Hopefully this will be more frequent than gumball, i really hope she gets past the dull gumball season 1 soon

N00B

This is gonna be a hard watch. Steven Universe has a lot of good and a lot of bad and as someone who was a fan of the show, I'm nervous.

Aethergoggles

She stated the other day she pushes back overlord a day every time someone bugs her about it. Its scheduled for sometime in 2026 at the moment

aliciaxlife

that's more so a joke from earlier in the community there were like 4 or 5 overlord fans that were harassing me. So that's when I did that back in the day. It helped clean up our community a lot by having other people telling weirdos to shut up lol

Joey245

STEVEN UNIVERSE! LET'S GO!

Craig

Alicia has learned 2hat a Steven bomb is

GamerGx1

A huge binge just for it to be Steven universe 😭

MadMax 1513

I hope i'm not being annoying, i'm just asking for information

MisterMarch

Seems that way. I’m all for Steven universe but I feel like she could have at least finished AT first. I mean Adventure Time beat this show originally in a poll which is why we got it. I just don’t really see why she’s adding a brand new show on her plate instead of finishing any old ones.

Grei Glace

"Fuck ste ven YOU ni Verse"

YukoValis

Oh we eating good pink today. One thing I must say is the more you watch the better it will get. It just needs time to build. I hope you will come to love it as many of us do. Also be extra careful for spoilers. <3 Alicia

Kashi

I know which song you have heard. It's called "Other friends", and yeah, it's an amazing song!

Limeanade

She says in the intro it's because she's impulsive. I get that but she makes it a "OMG I'm so quirky uwu" thing like that's not incredibly annoying. And people will act like you're the weirdo for complaining about it.

Soul

I have never woken up to get to patreon so fast in my life.

Schleep

Hbo’s subtitles make me wanna blow my brains out 😭. STEVEN THOUGH 🙏🏾

Adam

I can't believe I've experienced another Steven-bomb after so long

Domhnall Height

PINK Pink pink Did somebody say "Crying Breakfast Friends"?!?! The creator said that they modeled characters and their dynamics after the Strawhat Crew, and drew the Crystal Gems doing One Piece cosplay! Looking forward to singing, crying, and eating breakfast~

NekoSoophie!

Hell yes!!! Steven Universe is such a freaking incredible show!

EDWin qaz

Soooo…. Is gumball dropped?

Barbietube

Ayy i like this show, but these subtitles are HORRIBLE

Vivica the witch

My ex made me a cookie cat pillow when we were dating.

Thilo Konstantin Kobs

YEEES! Ever since I found you through youtube I hoped you would watch this! Could hardly keep myself from watching instead of doing my work xD

King'sBard

HE LEFT HIS FAMILY BEHIND

Speed1247

Man they just said the names, where did she get ruby and sapphire from? (I'm joking, they are all gems)

Julio Castillo

Jesus Christ Alicia.... you haven't even finished Adventure Time yet, and now you're also reacting to another of the Great CN Shows at the same time? you can't do this me xddd.

ExcelDamage

steven universe? its not even my birthday! thanks alicia :D

Ebofa

Well here is a show that I hope people are completely normal about... But it is a fun show, hope Alicia enjoys it!

Yagi di Hoshi

Yoshikage Kira had a literal pet "kuuki kyatto" in Killer Queen's tummy !! it left behind its mortal coil, and was a flower that thought "it's kill-or-be-killed" while shootin those kuuki bullets out of spite

Levi Price

no one spoil anything, i want to see a non-contaminated opinion on this show. I've never seen one before

Heisenburg

Stand up now and face the sun

DLCDallas

Oh, can't wait to see you're opinion of the show, without spoiling anything I'd say it's pretty good with a few writing choices that personally I think aren't that great. The unfortunate thing about this show is you can't criticize it without people automatically assuming you watched a certain someone's video.

Benjamin Keppel

AAAAAHHHHHH Loved this show. Was so groundbreaking for its time. We would not have the golden age of animation we do if not for Rebecca Sugar.

fizzlefist

I can not WAIT to rewatch this whole thing with fresh reactions. :D Did wonders for restoring my love to star wars.

Admus

This is gonna be a ride

nervouspirate

Hilarious joke, but seriously, you need to catch up with Adventure Time, there’s a new season coming out next week. Your SEO’s about to go crazy.

Aethergoggles

Lol hope thats at least ceased lately then, would love to see you get round to it sometime

Benjamin Keppel

"If the tall one doesn't have a meltdown about their perfectionism at some point..." About that...

The Seven Deadly Sins

I've never watched this show. But, I'm willing to see what it holds alongside you.

Chamoun101

You won't be disappointed! 👍

Chamoun101

STFU YES!!! ❤️‍🔥

6CatsInAnAlley

Alicia is like me with video games, starting new ones without finishing the others

Silver Raven

Pink. It's Red but not quite.

Kyle Necker

People better not be weird about this show

Midnightroze

AHHHH IM FREAKING OUTTT IM SO EXCIIITEDD Alicia is going to LOVE this series. It has such good understanding of psychology and how trauma effects people. I cant wait to hear her analysis

Rick Baron

The show is bad, the creator is a better song writer than a show runner

Rick Baron

A lot of great animated shows exist, Alicia: starts watching the worst one

Kalinka

since I never look at any plans: a surprise, but a welcome one.

Flastyy

Eh, I mean, it's not the best one, even as a fan I can still remember its glaring flaws, but there are MUCH WORSE shows out there she could have started binging, so personally I'm down

Bix

No, you're going in time out

Bix

Let me not get my hopes up that she'll finish the rest of this show bro. It only gets better with each season.

Bologna Amputation

Hey, Alicia, you should extremely avoid the comments on every one of these Steven Universe ones. Whether they love or hate the show, people cannot stop themselves from just barfing spoilers all over the place, and don't care whether or not they'd ruin it for you.

nervouspirate

Oh hey, an immediate weirdo in the replies

SpencerBPD

The show Adventure Time beat in a poll, gets added to Alicia's schedule before she even finishes AT.

MoD+

Episode one I had the same feeling. Thats Ep1. I feel like I miss thinks. unfortunally it does not hoocked for me. But I know it is a well renown Cartoon.

Rick Baron

Yeah I guess that's fair, it's just not among the best

Rick Baron

Am I now?, because I don't vibe with the show? The show has a lot of flaws, amongst them a lot of plot holes and pacing issues, if I don't like it it's because of that

Sam Marsh

fun fact, Amethyst is voiced by Michaela Dietz, who played Luz's lovable basilisk adopted sister Vee in the Owl House.

gamer cental 23

The game your talking about is multiverses And alot of the first episodes of cartoon Network don't feel like the first episodes, especially regular show

Nick

man it has been a WHILE since i've watched this... (holy shit came out in 2013... 12 years ago fuck me)

Blake Maiale

So happy you're finally reacting to this

Ed-96

YESSSSS

C H O M PS

my heart SKIPPED a BEAT when i saw this notification, I love Steven Universe SO much im so glad ur watching it <33

Julio Castillo

That honor goes to Flapjack, and to a lesser extent Adventure Time, Regular Show and Gravity Falls. But Steven Universe was indeed very influential.... specially for LGBTQ+ representation in animated shows.

Liliwyn

Flower Blooms with Dignity wasn't quite enough on its own, what with all the other anime and cartoons I was interested in other than One Piece having been locked in redeem-jail, but more Re:Zero, followed by She-Ra and now Steven flippin' Universe!?!? Okay, welp, first time I'd ever canceled my Patreon lasted less than half a week, lol. More of my favorite watching my favorites is peeeeeeeeak. ^^

Jose cheese

aw shit, here we go again

BuddyCory

just want to say the musical bit you did at the start was spot on cause I started singing it without thinking

KyleIronheart

Another SU reaction series!? LETS GOOO

Discerning Deviant

Happy to see you covering this because Steven Universe is one of those shows that I want to see for its cultural relevance and how deep it supposedly gets later, but I have no enthusiasm for actually watching...until now. I'm honestly more entertained by your reaction than the show itself, at least for this episode. I guess we'll see if the show grows on me.

EthanEverhart

The song you were singing is from the steven universe move that takes place after Steven Universe but before Steven Universe Future. As long as you don't analyze the lyrics too much you should be spoiler free

Raskilion

Fun Fact: Garnet's voice actor is the singer Estelle

EthanEverhart

"Amethyst, Ruby, Sapphire, Pearl" Yep that's definitely the crystal gems lol

ScarecrowGhost

Very excited that she's starting this series. It also made me ask myself why she seems to start so many shows before finishing others, but thankfully, the first 30 seconds of the video cleared that up.

Accel

Girl you don't know how much I love this series, ant the song I knew it instantly, is other friends from the movie

YeCrustModifier

PINK!!! I never thought this day would come, I love you so much right now ^-^

Zackerex

SpongeBob and Gumball dead in a ditch somewhere 😭😭😭 Jk Jk have fun with this one 😄🫡

Faroth

Yay, finally! We...

Hellguin

I have only ever seen like 4 episodes of this, never thought about watching from start.... guess I am on this journey now too :D

Faroth

Pearl is best bird mom Amethyst is the awesome sister Garnet is the cool aunt

Julio Castillo

I watched this show as it aired (i was like... 14 or 15 back then, and now im 24) and looking at it in retrospect... i can safely say that is not for everyone. Without giving spoilers.... the show has some really high Peaks of quality, but the story as a whole in conjunction with some of its messages (in my opinion) has very glaring flaws. But this show was definitely very influential... specially for the LGBTQ+ representation in cartoons. To put it in simple words... if The Legend of Korra walked so future shows with Queer representation could run.... Then Steven Universe was the show that joggled so future Queer shows could run. But.... im just gonna let you watch it for yourself and form your own opinion of it.

Ceiling Fan

SU LETS GO I LOVE THIS SHOW

Ghost

Good luck with this series, honestly season one was my favorite

PhoenixVoyager

OMG YESSSS Can't wait to see the journey you'll take with this show. It's so wholesome, cute, amazing, and maybe tearful 😅😅 It's very good.

evoL

《●_●》

Sam Smith

i remember i dropped this show when it was airing because cartoon network kept rerunning the first few episodes so many times that i got sick of it. Thanks to Alicia I'll finally give it another shot.

ACVIFOR

Oh cool, Steven Universe was never my favorite show (except for the movie, i really liked the movie just cause i love musicals) but i hope you enjoy it.

GreyNimbus

I'm so glad you're reacting to Steven Universe. I get the feeling that, after seeing Steven's character, you'd want to adopt him as your own son.

mykanike

Steven Universe is quite literally my favorite show I watched growing up. I really hope you stick with it because it’s definitely worth the watch time.

Mr .C

dr stone is peak

Leticia

god I got so excited I screamed this is THE series istg

Seroili

I couldn't get into this show as a kid because it was too painful to watch. Maybe with Alicia's help I can stomach to swallow it down until we get to the good bits.

PokéBoyBB

Not her literally acknowledging she dropped Adventure Time QmQ

AverageJ

"I know the black one" sounds diabolical out of context

Charlie baker

i will say i do agree her work with at was better then su as a whole personally

Hawkeye 3240

Yes finally!! this and adventure time are my favorite cartoons ever.

JuanmaRailgun

IDK if Alicia reads these but just in case she does... super mild spoilers: "If this bitch doesn't have a perfectionist breakdown...." You're happy with one? well prepare to be in a sea of joy xD

AnotherWeeb

I have chosen an excellent time to join the patreon. This is gonna be one of the series of all time

Noman Rocks

This is the number 1 show I have been waiting for Alicia to react to (even if i didn't know she was gonna react to it) but I'm more than happy to say it was definitely worth the wait :)

Nuk Limpear

IDK if Alicia reads these, but just in case she does, here's a tip: don't skip the outros!

Dip Ateer

Because I'm an ass, when Alicia was describing amethyst i wanted to say "Das you" even though I know it isn't true.

DaniDeFig

Please look forward to the reveal of your, and any loved one's, Birth Stone Gem ^^

Chalk3000000

I was kind of meh about this reaction but now that it's actually happening I'm excited.

Jackie

Saw this uploaded on YouTube and immediately went to sub to Patreon. Soooooooooooo freaking excited for this series! This show made me who I am today. Also Rebecca Sugar is the best songwriter of all time and I am not biased at all.

Bo Ferguson

Agreed on all this, PLUS stuff like Teen Titans [the original, not GO] and the Ducktales 2017 reboot

Sadcllowny

RAAAAAHHHH!!!! RAAHHHHHH!!! RAHHHHHHH!!!! (you can't escape us fans of AT forever Alicia!)

The Gaming Morgana

Huh . Yeah so the song is called "other friends" it's 1. From a movie, I believe. Two a massive spoiler. Hopefully you only listened to it

Paul McCubbrey

That’s why the people of this world believe in Granite, Ambergris, Ampersand And Steve!

Reaper Scythe

Hell yeah! So happy! You're gonna love this show, it's adorable.

KingStarscream 86

God, I remember when Cartoon Network played this episode RELIGIOUSLY for some reason. One can only listen to "Cookie Cat" so many times. 😭

Virtuous_Wanderer

Steven Universe was such a huge part of my teen (I bees oldge) years, and I love watching people watch it.

MorbiDevi

not a top pick for me, i grew up with adventure time, gumball and regular show when it comes to CN, steven universe fell into the category of "ill watch if theres nothing else" not because its bad, just CN was throwing out heavy hitter back then. Though probably the main reason i didnt vibe with this as much, was the complete juxtaposition it had compared to the rest of CN's roaster, it talks about heavier topics in away adventure time would, but adventure time itself is so weird the weird topics feel natural, steven universe was giving off the cuddly and accepting vibes so much it made me vomit rainbows.

Imani Brooks

Tell me you didn't actually watch SU without telling me you didn't watch SU. Especially Future. Shit got dark.

Vegvisir92

thats a lot of words to say "I didn't pay any attention while watching this show"

MorbiDevi

Ye, I was saying I didn't watch the show because I didn't like it, I like it now but back then I didn't, cus it wasn't my type of thing

MorbiDevi

I didn't, I watched it if I was forced to, the vibes weren't there, I'm watching now cus the story is pretty decent, tho I can't say it speaks to me at all

Glitchmaster1872

Considering she's already seen it I'll say it here. It's so wild how you called Ruby and Sapphire from the intro.
