Loved this anime! If your looking for another good romance anime I recommend You and I are polar opposites. The English dub is hilarious.

It’s weird. I’m pretty sure he said “I love you” in the subtitles when I watched the show, so I checked it. It’s because there are two subtitle options on Netflix. First, the normal English subtitles, where it says “I love you,” and then the English (CC), where it says “I really like you".

I don't know about the dub, but the show is absolutely an adorable riot. Kinda different from Fragrant Flower, but identical in that I was just smiling from start to finish. Also, I want to hear her analyse every fun personality in that show.

"suki" means both "like" and "love" (WTH, Japanese?). In the US Netflix translation they translate it as "I love you" in the beach scene. What's shown as "strength and courage" in episode 13 is translated as "joy and courage" in the US translation. I don't know which is more accurate, but I really like him telling him she gives him joy and courage and then her telling him the same. Also, Alicia is wild for expecting a kiss in season one of a romance anime. Come on! And while I respect Alicia shipping Usami and Subaru Hoshina, I'm firmly in the Hoshina-Natsusawa camp. He bought her donuts when she didn't buy them for herself, thinking she might like one later! I hope there'll be more seasons. The manga is spectacularly good, and this was a great adaptation (and a great reaction, thanks!).

Honestly, it was refreshingly novel to watch a romance anime that was so pure and, for lack of a better word, chaste. Never really watched one like that before.
